The official "What's this Movie?" thread!

I think this one will be a tough one - mostly because of the lack of details I can remember about this flick.

I saw it in the early- to mid-80s. Definitely no later than that.

I remember very little about the plot, but it was an action movie, as I recall. The protagonist was some kind of human cyborg, or whatever, made from human and robot parts. Kind of like the terminator, but he was the hero. He looked a little bit like "Robocop".

Part way through the film, it was revealed that this robot guy was made from the dead remains of a crashed Vietnam war pilot (they showed a scene of his plane crashing).

The last detail I can remember is that toward the end of the film, the robot guy comes onto the screen with some kind of tank-tread system, instead of the legs he'd had earlier. Very campy.

I remember this movie striking me as low-budget, at best. It was very corny.

Anyway, I'd love to see this movie again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I saw this movie at least 20 years ago and I can't remember the title:

It starts off with 2 women standing at the top of a cliff and arguing about something (a man, I think). One scratches the other across the face and then jumps off of the cliff. The second woman then becomes a suspect for her murder, even though it was a suicide.

Most of the rest of the movie is about how the man tries to make the police think that someone else murdered the 1st woman, so that he can be with the 2nd woman, whom he loves.

At the end he gets smooshed in his car by 2 truck drivers while she is waiting for him by the phone because they are going to run away together.

Sounds familiar? HELP!

I watched a movie one time on television, and it was an awesome movie but I can't remember what the title was. It was a martial arts movie. It was about a young asian man who's father was abducted by bad martial-arts people and the main good guy (a asian dude in his 20's) fights alot of people and kicks alot of ass. His mother fights alot of people, too, and is an even betetr fighter than he is. There's this one asian woman who's a bad guy who fights the mom and loses, but I think she defeats the other main good guy. At the end the main good guy goes to rescue his father and his mom fins out and comes and saves them both (I think). It was really awesome. This sounds a lot like "Serendipity," with John Cusak and Kate Beckinsale. When she's younger, she believes in fate and won't go out with him because she doesn't believe it's pre-destined. She writes her name in a book, he writes his name on a five dollar bill, believing if they ever get the other ever get the bill and the book then they're meant to be together. It does sound a lot like the movie you're describing...

Does anyone remember a movie from the early to mid 80's with two teenage or so sisters that wake up new years day after sleeping in a metal shed or something like that only to discover that they are basically the only two people left in LA. Seems some alien thing turned everyone into red dust and a few others into zombies of some sort. The girls go on shopping sprees etc, also their dad was a gun nut so the girls know how to defend themselves

Help Help!
Last time I saw this movie was like 6 years ago!!! So I don't remember everything~!! It is about this old man that loves math. He goes to this school that is rundown the kids are all in gangs and really don't care about anything. He teachs them about Math. After he teachs the class they take the SAT's and they all do really well on it. The school thinks that the kids cheat and so they have to prove them wrong which they did.

ok so I have a question that is gonna be hard.

I saw a movie trailer on tv a while back and for some reason i can't remember the title of it at all and it is buggin the hell out me.

All i can remember is that it seemed to be a love story type movie. The trailer said something like "every great story has a great beginning" or "great love has a story". IT IS NOT THE NOTEBOOK. 🙂 I can't remember exactly when i saw this trailer but it was in 2006 and it came on pretty often. Also the words may have been written down on screen too. Like it saws a clip then black screen with the words "every great love..." I could use some help and i will try and remmeber more of it.

I need help with a movie. It's coming out soon (or it recently came out). It has a couple American soldiers stuck in North Korea and they find out they are going to be tortured and killed. Then, they try and escape. And that's all I remember.

That kinda sounds like "The Deer Hunter".
