1 all i remember is that there are these little creatures of monsters, i think they are bluey purple, and when you cut one in half it bubbles and grows back the other half and then you have two monsters. i think i remember someone driving in a car past them and chopping them in half as they go to.

next is more of a drama

2 about this guy, curly brown hair, dies and goes to the afterlife where he has to prove that has overcome all his fears in his life, i remember something about people in the afterlife being able to use more percentage of there brains, everyone on trial like wearing these toga like clothes and a romantic interest which proved her self free of fear when she ran into a burning building to rescue her cat. he finally prove his fearlessness by going for relationship even though he might not be able to prove himself and start his whole life over again (i remember that this scene was on a bus and he yanked the doors open to get to her).

any help is good with these, its driving me nuts!

Number 2 is Defending Your Life starring Meryl Streep and Albert Brooks

I rolled down a big hill in Africa in a tire...

Ok, this is a movie from the 1970s. There's a white couple, maybe missionaries, maybe naturalists, maybe American, maybe British, I can't remember, they're in Africa, and they've got their young son with them.

He befriends a native boy.

At one point, the boys are fooling around, curling up inside a car tire and letting the other roll it down a big hill.

It gets out of hand, and one of the kids--- I think the native kid--- goes downhill dangerously a lot longer than planned, eventually injuring himself badly.

Then comes various drama trying to save the kid, etc.

Obviously, there's more to the movie then this, but this is a pretty pivotal scene.

Anybody have any idea what movie I'm talking about?

Sorry, posted this to the wrong place first, new user, I think I see how this thread works now.

Re: What the heck is this movie?

Ms. Boondoggl, your movie is "Unico: In the Magic Island" from 1983.

All I remember is the villain was a hunchbacked wizard who traveled around in a bubble. He was hypnotizing people, turning them into gingerbread-like objects. After they were turned into these gingerbread cookie looking things, they would start stacking themselves like a big game of Tetris, making solid walls.

I know it sounds crazy, but I remember loving this movie as a kid and would love to know what the heck it was. Anyone have any idea?

It's probably "Forever Young, Forever Free" from 1976.

Re: Titles for Two Please

First one might be "Munchies" from 1987.

This movie takes place at some college, has your standard unrequited love plot, someone's roommate kills herself in a bathtub. I can't remember any of the actors in the movie, but it has a pretty graphic and disturbing opening scene.

The movie starts out with the main actress having sex with her love interest's friend, while he video tapes, and then she gets puked on.

Thanks

Desperate Measures, Michael Keaton and Andy Garcia, GREAT flick.

HELLO ALL

Am new here and was hoping someone could help me with the name of the film.

It starts of with a couple both upper class, they are in a posh house or hotel and they are fighting something has gone wrong. A drug deal or money. I rember there being a body or money under the floor ( could be wrong )

The next thing that stand out is that next door they can hear people talking , think the are drug dealer gangster type. They are talking about money .

The couple then plot to take advantage of this so they can fix there own problems.

Also I remember a scene where people are troutring a guy in a toliet and they cut of his finger!

Sorry for the vague description but it all I got.

Any ideas?

Thanks for looking

The movie is called either Dungeon Master or The Dungeon Master. I remember watching it when I was a lot younger and thinking it had something to do with D&D. Of course, I was wrong. Good luck enjoying it this time around. 🙂

Anyone know what movie I'm speaking of, or what the name is?:

The main character makes childrens books. Or, maybe he tried several jobs and childrens books was his last resort- either way, he makes a pop-up book about a kids dead grandma. A woman comes to his house to view the book and leaves pissed off.

He's talking to himself, or the camera, intentionally- I don't know which. I'm sure there were a lot of things I didn't grasp. He has some dead stuffed animal, or it could have been alive.
Maybe it switched up?

There was a long moment dedicated to a fly. it kept trying to get in his cereal.
He ranted about how how dumb flies were, giving an example that he watched a fly in his back yard the other day sitting on a piece of shit:

"it just kept looking at its hands, thinking 'Oh, dog shit.' It cleaned its hands off, sat them back down in the dog shit, then looked at them again and went, 'Oh hey, dog shit.
'"

The people above his apartment are incredibly noisey, and at one point he bangs on the ceiling. Violence ensues.

the last bit I can remember, gas enters his living room and he blacks out in his apartment and some guy takes him to a van in the parking lot and they talk about things.

I think the movie you're looking for is "The Jar," a 1984 B-horror flick made by Bruce Toscano. It sure is... something.

I'm reviving this one because I am looking for a different movie about a demon in a jar. There's a fight in a dumpster in this one. It's definitely another 1908s-era monstrosity, but I can't figure out what it is!

Is it Michael Keaton on it? or you don't remember? 😬

*ignore that* I was replying to page91's post about that hospital - kid -maniac movie question he had

A break-up and the guy spends his extra eight hours working in a grocery store.

The trailer has naked people being frozen still as he's sketching them. Recent film on what I believe is an independent film label. Any clue what it's called. Tried googling everything. Thanks

Anyone know this movie?

I am looking for a movie made in the 1940's or 50's. It has usually been shown around Christmas time. A little girl makes a few visits to a neighboring house to visit an older lady. The lady's daughter lives with her. The older lady is real nice and the daughter is real creepy. There are a couple of scenes where one feels the daughter is going to kill the little girl. There is a cat in this movie too. Does the creppy daughter turn into a cat? I can't remember much more but now that I am older I want to see this again. Any help? Thanks, David.

Between about December 24 and December 28, 2008 I saw on tv, I assume it was a movie in which I heard this line, "Terror Is A Man. Take A Name". Or was it, "Terror Is A Man. Taking Aim"?

Yesterday I saw a movie name on the internet that was titled, "Terror Is A Man". But I know that I did NOT see that movie.

When I saw that name, it clicked in my head that I had heard the line, "Terror Is A Man. Take A Name" a couple of days earlier but I have no other recollection of where I saw it.

Any ideas?
