This is my thing: no one isolated incident is representative of all of anything. Multiple videos of beatings, or defensive cops mean anything. I'm not about to form my paradigm of cops based on that.

Now in saying that, each situation is it's on. Circumstances are different for each. No way that I can make an ABSOLUTE statement about cops based or any person based on that.

My argument lies in the fact that no cop has the right to infringe upon the right of a citizen simply because they have "authority." Situation dictates how they handle it, not the mood they were in before they got there.

umm...If I was that police officer, I would have told him to calm down and act civil. I would not have asked him to come out of his vehicle to come pick up those items for fear of him striking me. Maybe a night stick to the face or two and we both would have been amicable.
