and in my experience, most people who have bad experiences with cops are usually doing something against the law anyways.
Well, I would say that 1 in a million incidences are of people who are not doing something against the law who end up in situations like that. 😛
There, I said it! 😠
Seriously, though, in my experience most people who have a bad experience with law enforcement are doing something against the law or are with people who are doing something against the law.
Case in point, my friend, whose Internet screen name is MarkyD, went over to a friends house to play so video games. He is real stand-up guy and is a very kind person and a very loving father. Well, there was a knock on the door and MarkyD was the closest to the door so he got up to answer the door. When he opened the door, there was a shotgun pointed in his face. The man at the door was all suited, in all black, up for war. He yelled at MarkyD to get on the floor and not to move. MarkyD said that then, tons of men kept pouring into the house, stepping over him. He glanced up when he thought that last man stepped over him and he noticed the name of the county they were in and in big white letters underneath that it said S.W.A.T.
MarkyD said that the S.W.A.T. team tore the place up. The team put holes in the walls all over the house, they cut up the cushions: they pulled things off of shelves, closets, and drawers; they ransacked the house. And for what? There was a tip off from someone in the neighborhood that that house was a major drug depot that had a major drug operation going on. Guess what? Oh yes...the S.W.A.T. team found some drugs alright...a very small amount of marijuana in one of the dudes rooms that lived there...such a small amount that it was enough for one or two people. They found a bong or two and that was it. These were typical college students who liked to get high every now and then...that's it. My friend, totally innocent because he doesn't do drugs and he only came over to play some video games, got charged with possession because no one in the house would admit to owning it. HE WAS A F***ING GUEST WHO HAD NEVER BEEN THERE! He is such a stand-up guy that he wouldn't rat out on his friends.
That story is a shitty story having to do with cops. But guess what? He had a bad experience because some old uptight neighbor of his friends got pissed that they were smoking weed and wanted to "get justice on those young rebellious whipper snappers" and the young men got shotguns in their face and their house torn up. Bad experience because someone was doing something wrong that MarkyD was associated with.
There is a good ending to this story...MarkyD got that possession charge expunged off his record because a county judge saw how stupid it was for his situation. (many factors contributed to the county finding him innocent...AFTER he performed the community service.)
