STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Cold War

So, somewhere in the remaining hierarchy, someone has had a mysterious influence on Dak since his childhood...

Oh hey, do we still have a living noble prisoner?

Prince Gremon remains your captive.

By the way, the Royal Family is looking rather weak presently. Princess Ditari was heir to the throne, and the Princes Gremon and Basan were the commanders of the Royal Army, under their father, King-Father Rorus.

That leaves the Queen-Mother and King-Father, as well as their youngest offspring- the twin Princesses Aryana and Athiri, and Prince Petrem. They are mere children.

Well then, let's have another audience with Gremon... Mither will likely want an update concerning the victory as well.

Prince Gremon is still in solitary confinement. Mither So'Ngah insists that only he can meet with Gremon. You'll have to talk your way through the Great Leader in order to meet with the Prince.

What are the odds of Mither letting us talk to Prince Gremon? Not that Wraith cares much about the lightsaber issue.

What results did our successful fight have with Admiral Tishar? I believe the Navy Admiral was watching this very closely...

Very low. He hasn't let anyone talk to Prince Gremon since you captured him. Not even General Kaliero.

Well, we might as well report the victory to the Great Leader to begin with.

Wraith will accompany Dak to this, though he's pretty sure that Mither still despises him for being human and not from Arnia.

Okay! For now, Mither has remained in his secretive mountain hideaway, where the rebels have been hiding for years and years and stashed all their supplies. There has been talk of the Great Leader relocating to the newly taken city already... but it remains to be seen. You can't imagine Mither being comfortable somewhere that isn't dark and damp and in a cave far away from everything else.

A shuttle takes you back here a short time after the battle, once things are firmly established and the Royalists have finished their full retreat.

What do you want to say to Mither, Dak?

Wraith- he won't see you.

Wraith is irritated. Why won't Mither see Wraith?

Something to the effect of 'lowly unimportant human outsider.'

Wraith certainly won't stand for that.

"I've been working just as hard as anyone else in this army to overthrow the current regime!" Wraith yells at whoever is denying him access to Mither. "Maybe even harder than most! I demand an audience."

Probably an attendant of Mither's, but he does not respond to your yelling.

"Only Kaliero is allowed to see Mither," he says.

"And why is that?" Wraith asks. "I'm every bit the General's equal. Is it because I'm not an Arnian? Is it because I'm an outsider here?"

The attendant merely says that Mither has requested that nobody be admitted but for Kaliero.

Wraith- you are indeed quite the outsider here. You have no hope of developing any sort of roots here, not without General Kaliero's help. It is a poor way to come into power.

Wraith is not the only non-Arnian enlisted in Mither's and Dak's forces. He will talk to Ker'Raos and see what he thinks about all this.

"We can't achieve much here, even if Dak overthrows the Royal Family," Wraith complains to Ker. "Why are we even here? I'm not just a killing machine, and neither are you. Though we are good at it."

Ker'Raos shrugs.

"What were we doing before this?" Ker asks. "Killing for money. Not much different from what we're doing now. If my experiences have proven anything, it is that this is how the Dark Side works. Isn't it?"

"At least with that we were making money," Wraith says. "Here, the only person gaining anything is Dak."

"And then Dak help us take power too," Ker'Raos says.

"Power is not something he will just hand us," Wraith says. "I don't care if we both trained under Kuylen... it's hard to carry the ideals of comradeship in the Dark Side if someone is not enforcing it."
