Interesting... I saw this after you pointed out the collar. I also though Scott, but then I realized that his boots don't match...Also, I looked through a bunch of characters related to Darkseid, and found nothing.
This book is killling me... when does the next one come out? 😄
Looked again about 10 more times, and realized that it wasn't a collar, looks more like the upper portion of his back (right below his arms being lifted). Based on other scans, definitely no collar.

He has a ridge on the top of his head, indicating that he is most likely wearing a helmet.
So let's see what we have so far:
- Ridged Helmet.
- Stick.
- Known ally of the New Gods.
- Male.
- No collar.

He may or may not have a stick, as that scene may have very well been Black Racer on the wall... no sure though...
He also has a weird design on his boots as well.

Infinity Man?? But theres no way he's powerful enough to kill Takion.
Plus, the killer seems to be active judging by character statements, in DC.

Ok... something else I noticed when you mention the boots. I count 3 "rings" leading up to mid-calf.
For some reason, reminded me of this:
and also here, another example of 3 rings:
- Plus whoever it is, he's able to manipulate the source (to cut off Takion), I can't think of many other people that could build another source wall.
I know that Izaya has died and all, but what if he used an avatar, similar to how Darkseid uses avatars, and it was only his avatar that idied? It seems conceivable that a portion of him could still be existant within the source after he was killed by Ares.

Scary as it sounds, Highfather is someone who is a possible suspect. But would he really kill his own people?
Highfather was seen in the source while New Gods had been dying already. Tho the Superman batman time line is all screwy. Highfather also isn't powerful enough to outright pwn Takion or DS. And DS knows that death is coming. I gather someone is killing the new gods to save them from what ever Mxy was scared of also destroying the 5th dimension.
To say this was a bad showing for Darkseid is ridiculous.
He understands some portion of the Anti Life Equation - the only being in the universe ever to do so without being born with it (Billion Dollar Bates, Scott Free) or given it by another's will (Orion).
Even as Scott uses his immense power to disable Darkseid, Darkseid retains his mental faculties, proves that he knows more about the death of the New Gods than ANYONE from either New Genesis or Apokolips (Metron included), shows that he has a plan to turn it to his advantage, and makes it clear to all involved that his will cannot be broken no matter what is done to him.
That is actually a great character showing for him.

And the killer is Himon, probably in cahoots with Highfather and Infinity Man, those closest to the source.
😂 At this point, it very well could be. And thank god someone understands the high character showing that not backing down from the full ALE is. Scott backed down because he knew he couldn't break Darkseid's will.

Agreed. Himon is the only person who has gained from this, not to mention that with Metron and Takion unavailable he now controls all information NG has about the Source.
I don't think Highfather is involved though.

Himon's boots don't have the three rings though.
The other reason why I think Izaya is behind this is because of this scan:

Takion specifically calls out to the source (where Izaya would be hiding) and a few pages later, meets who the killer is.
