Even if, and i doubt it, but even if Adamantium was some godly powered substance that could cut through these characters with god-like durability, Wolverine wouldn't have the strength to push hard enough for it to penetrate the skin of someone with the durability of Superman.
And by the way pal, i would always consider it PIS that he cut Thanos, but then Wolverine is a ball of PIS rolled onto the pages of Marvel Comics anyway.

The Squirrel Girl thing is canon IRRC we have Tippy-Toe saying "it happened fanboys and it's canon deal with it" along with the Watcher confirming that it is the real Thanos and not a clone. But losing to Squirrel girl isn't a low showing and I'm being serious there.
In She-Hulk they attempted to retcon a few of Thanos's losses they gave examples and refered to specific incidents in some cases. They also hinted that they retconned the Squirrel Girl loss but never actually out right stated or showed it, it was very, very subtle if they actually did.
