Not really. As far as I'm concerned it still stands. Dooku has a beard, but he was a Jedi once. He was good then, and the fact that he has a beard is therefore now giving us reason to question his evil. He LOOKS like a good guy and that makes him so dangerous. So the theory stands and it's also good to see how creatively GL uses it to elude us.
And as far the food theory... Anakin eats something and gets an arm cut off + he dies in ROTJ on screen. Padme eats and we don't know yet if she will die on screen.
Okay, just to explain things. the theory says that IF people eat on screen (or when there's a good assumption that they do, like in the dining room on Cloud City) they die or get hurt badly (at least). It does NOT say that if they die, they should have eaten first. However, there are good assumptions to be made that they did eat.
Take for instance Greedo, he was in the bar, it's still very likely that he had a bite to eat while waiting for the right time to get hold of Solo. The same goes for Ben, he wanders around the Deaths Star for quiet a while. It seems very likely he might have slipped into the DS cafeteria to get himself a turkey sandwich. But we can't PROOF it, that is why it's theory, not a fact.
