One-handed, he means to fire a volley at you, Kyle, as he reaches into his jacket with his free hand.
He is nine frames distant, while Rylis is farther, twelve frames.
Eerin, you start off, but you won't reach Kyle until frame 18.
A ginfight might be amusing to watch, if you get out of here alive.
Rylis draws her pistol (though not anywhere near as impressively as you). However, her marksmanship is certainly something. She matches your shot on Snith, skimming you for 11 damage as you step to the side.
The man puts out a rapid volley, but only his first shot does any harm as it bursts on the railing by you. 8 damage to you, while the other shots stray. He has drawn a second pistol, though. This one certainly isn't a repeating pistol...looks like a heavy disruptor piece.
Your shot is good, Kyle! The first shot goes nowhere, but the second hits for 8 damage in return. That'll teach him!

Rylis advances, moving up alongside the man as they line up shots on you again. The man means to fire his disruptor pistol this time. Unpleasant, those. He charges it for a lethal shot, taking him to frame 11.
Rylis hops into the air and activates a jetpack! She roars towards you, pounding shots out of her pistol. An 11 is a miss, though.
Your shot is much better, catching the stranger for 7 damage.
The stranger then unleashes a charged beam from his disruptor pistol. When charged, that gun has a base damage of 15 and an additional MKP. Ahh! A 12 against you means 8 damage as it burns your arm.

Uhoh, Kyle. Rylis is three frames away, the stranger hasn't moved, but they're both going to get a few goes at you before you can fire again. The man resorts to his repeating pistol again.
With Eerin on the way, though, you're not so worried.
Speaking of the bug, returning to the ship, lifting off, and putting yourself in a position to rescue Kyle will get you there on frame 24, Eerin.
The stranger attempts another barrage from his repeating pistol, but a 2 is atrocious and he hits nothing.
Rylis, unfortunately, is more successful, catching you for 11 damage as you throw yourself to the opposite side of the walkway, against the railing. She descends on you...
The stranger this time fires both guns, not bothering to charge the disruptor. Unfortunately, while he is less impressive with Both Guns Blazing than his normal skill, he rolls well. Fortunately, he has penalties for Rylis being in the way and firing both guns. A double-shot from the repeating pistol gives you 4 damage, while the disruptor deals you 8. 12 damage total.
Now on top of you, Rylis suddenly thrusts her arm forward and with a woosh! sends six metal spikes flying towards you. Uhoh. With Rylis in such close proximity and using such an effective weapon, your active dodge rating is 11 while using a blaster. Not good. A spike slashes open your shoulder as it flies across, hitting you for 9 damage and a point of impairment.

Things are looking far from good, Kyle, but you can hear the roar of the Last Laugh's engines as Eerin brings the ship towards you. He will be in position in two frames.
Kyle holds up his hands in surrender. "Okay, okay! 'Nuff!" He holster his pistol and puts a hand on the wound on his sholder. He starts talking to waste the last few moments before Eerin arrives. He hopes she doesn't kn that's his ship they can hear approaching. "Fine, you win. I'm gonna guess you want me to go with you? First, I wanna tell your boy over there that I've seen kids who shoot better." He hears the ship is amlost within firing range. "Second," he grins "is you've got to do a LOT better to capture Kyle Ragnor!" He throws his body as far away from the pair as he can just as Eerin opens fire.
By the time you say "Okay, okay!" Rylis and the stranger have taken notice of the approaching vessel, as Eerin pulls it to a halt just before the walkway in order to blast it.
Rylis scowls at you before throwing herself off the edge of the walkway.
The stranger fires a few times, backpedaling along the walkway.
The main cannons of the Last Laugh slice straight through the walkway, incinerating the middle section and wrenching it violently from its place. Gravity takes hold of the severed pieces, pulling the loose ends downwards toward the abyss below you, Kyle.
You start to slide.
Easily done, Eerin. The ship lowers into position, allowing Kyle to slide onto the top of the ship without a problem.
Unfortunately, it seems that the stranger was expecting it. He slides down his section of collapsed walkway and onto his feet, holding his repeating pistol.
