STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Trials

Your danger sense flares as you pass Friste's room.

There is nothing extraordinary about the lifts. Power has been cut to them, and the lifts themselves appear to not be in station on Level B.

Is there anyway for Xavier to climb up the Lift?

If not then it is time to turn around and get ready to attack. He will use Trax's advice from earlier about clearing a way for the shield guys to get up.

After cutting through the door, you could look around the inside of the shaft...

Then that is what Xavier will do.

Doors fear you, Xavier. This one is scissored out easily.

The inside of the shaft is dark but for dim maintenance lighting. Up above you, you can see one of the lifts stationed on Level A. Underneath the lift, latched to the bottom via magnetic seals, are ten detonator charges...

Is there anyway Xavier could use Grip to set them off early?

Grip isn't really the thing for this. Being a Swordsman, you lack the fine control required for using the Force to set those off.

But there always cruder methods available...

Try and activate the lift or shoot it?

The latter is guaranteed. Whether you hit or not, it will trip the heat sensors installed in those detonators.

Then Xavier will bring over a slave to shoot it.

Hoondan volunteers, just to ensure that it is done right.

His disruptor beam strikes a detonator in the centermost part of the cluster of bombs. This sets them all off, a column of flames filling the shaft and spilling out into your corridor for a brief moment.

"What did that achieve, exactly?" Hoondan inquires, shielding his face with a hand.

Xavier looks up to see what the detonation has accomplished.

Amidst the smolder metal, you can see that the bottom half of the lift has been blown clear off and the shaft has been damaged significantly.

"This gives me a mean to get up there without them being ready."

Rex I doubt but would the slaves be able to make the climb up the lift?

If not then Xavier will order Hoondan, Prassk, and Trax to lead the frontal assault.

Hoondan doubts the wisdom of this plan.

To add to his doubts, pirates from the Level above have come to investigate the explosion, poking their blasters into the destroyed lift and glaring downwards into the gloom...

Xavier sees this and doubts his own plan.

"Very well then let us press on and attack the Crew's Quarters according to Trax's plan."

You leave the pirates examining the shaft; your withdrawal means they don't see you through the smoke and flames.

The slaves are being divided into three groups. Each group is comprised of 87 slaves, 10 grenadiers, and 2 heavies, though your group will have an extra slave. You can pick a lieutenant to bring with you; the other two will lead the other two groups.

Xavier wants Trax to stay with him.

Trax quickly hacks into the door security programs and overrides them. The blast doors barring progress withdraw, sliding upwards and revealing dark corridors. The pirates have cut the lights.

Trax nods to you, then steps into the middle corridor. Prassk takes his men to the right, Hoondan to the left.

The corridors, though wide, can only accomodate ten slaves entering at a time, once you and Trax have gone in ahead of them.

With the lights off Xavier has his lightsaber deactivated. He listens and uses sense on the room as he walks in with Trax.
