Yoda VS Darth Sidious in Episode III

And another reason why Sidious/Palpatine wouldn't fight yoda was covered in another thread. They said that Palpatine was a mysterious person in all the other movies and it would be highly doubtful that he would fight in Ep III.

Only GL knows whats going to happen, unles you all want to go kidnap him? HINT HINT!

The emperor was mysterious through out ep IV, V to yet we saw him using his powers in ep VII

Yes, but he used his powers at the end of the movie. Waiting till the very end to reveal the mystery behind the emperor. And I think I will go kidnapped GL. 馃槃

I don't think Darth Sidious would be foolish enough to place his own life at risk. He knows that Yoda could kill him.

lol 馃槃?

the gullible jedi council members still doesn't know that a sith controls the senate, which really sucks for them since palpatine will control anakin and anakin will kill nearly all of them.

on another note, yoda acts so much better in the new movies

Perhaps Yoda and Palpy fight, and they are of equal or nearly equal power, and Yoda, seeing that it is a stalemate, fakes his own death to escape. (Maybe he falls off a cliff and uses the Force to levitate.)
But I still go by what I said before, that Yoda could beat Dooku with his gimer stick. 馃槀

I think its a force war. Not the one with lightsabres just plainly using the force. That is if sideous really fights yoda. Doubt it but i'm not knocking out the possibility.
Wonder though, another force lighting here and there thing like in AOTC? Hope not.Maybe something more creative ala Exar Kun vs. Ulic Qel Droma.(Note all speculations)

I never did like that Qel Droma guy

He's a EU Jedi/Sith character in several of The Tale of Jedi comic series. I doubt both Ulic or Exar Kun will even be mentioned in Episode III. It would be kinda pointless. Remember, EU is not CANON.

Would Palps even know which end of the lightsaber to use? This is the dude that dismisses them as a "jedi weapon" in RoTJ. I don't see a duel between the two. Its one of the fundamental character traits of palps that he uses his apprentices as weapons and operates behind the scenes.

I agree, Darth nerf. Palpatine prefers to sit in the shadows while his Dark Lords battle Jedi.(Phantom Menace, Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi)

He didn't 'dismiss' it as a Jedi weapon- he was virtually complimenting it as such.

Darth Vader: "His lightsaber."
Darth Sidious: "Ah, yes. A Jedi's weapon's"

Darth Sidious certainly knows how use a lightsaber. He taught Darth Maul the Sith style of lightsaber fighting.

Yes, I agree absolutely. Palpy/Sidious must know of lightsaber technique. As pointed out by you, someone had to train Maul. Obviously, it was Sidious, his master. Nobody else would have trained him in the arts.

maul's style was cool. more jedi should learn the twinsaber techniques.

Palpatine is one of my favorite characters, can't ya tell? Well he doesn't rely on a lightsaber. He relies totally on the power of the dark side of the force. He does know how to use them but he prefers to use the dark side of the force. I can assure you he will not use a lightsaber in ep 3.

Thanks for posting your thoughts, Djas!

palpatine will use his electric thing馃槢
