It works for many people here. Much better than the cliched crap you see time and time again in many games. It's a refreshing break IMO.

The idea that Duke Nukem is fresh is funny. It's the same shit we always play but remove the name "Duke Nukem" and people would think the game looked like crap.

I wouldn't say it's potty humor (except for the turd vid, lol), it's parody of the cliched "badass" genre. And it's done well.

Most gamers this generation hadn't heard of Duke except for parodies (much like Battletoads), so if they complain it's usually the graphics, which look fine.
