He'd be dead already if the script writer of the newest film had been intelligent enough to realised that regardless of the lead lining of the fridge, intense heat would have cooked him alive and destroyed him - ripping the flesh from his bones etc.

Lead would've protected him somewhat from the radiation, but not the heat...silly script writer

Not to mention the damage that an elderly person such as himself would sustain as the fridge was span through the air, smashing into the ground.

The writers are the really evil ones though:

IE - Taking that elderly person, threatening him with a nuke, until he was forced to stuff himself into a fridge, and launching him distances smashing him down a hill side subjecting him to killer centrifugal and blunt trauma forces allthe way until he is laughed at by comedy gophers,raping him cruelly of any integrity he once had..

I help the elderly across the road and hold doors open for them.....
