I love the 1st two.
Feel "mehhhhhhhh" towards the 3rd.
The 4th, however is a work of pure evil beyond all possible mitigation.
When I found out that on buying the 1st three cheap on BluRay in boxset, that I would also receive the 4th I threw up in my mouth and had a Schwarzenegger flashback panic attack.

I'm hoping with the new Batman movies they have another attempt at doing Mr Freeze and all the othe villains which the 4th movie had and ruined.
What i like about the Christian Bale Batman - despite the fact it's Christian "The Angriest Man in Hollywood" Bale - is that they're trying to make the Batman story more believable (to some extent). What i didn't like about the Tim Burton Batman is the fact it was all cheesy, childish and cringe-worthy.
Jack Nickolson's Joker was too clowny. Jim Carry's Ridler was like watching the Mask but in green spandex - i like Jim Carry films but he is more or less the same person in all of them. Danni DeVito's Penguin wasn't too bad i guess. Tommy Lee Jones' Two-Face was like every other character Tommy Lee plays...because imo Tommy Lee Jones can't act. and you can see where i'm going...
As for the Batmans', Michael Keaton, George Clooney and Val Kilmer were all the "heart throbs" at the time of their respective Batmans'. Any film with them in was likely to get an audience whether it be for the actual DC fans or the mindless fan girls...
BUrton left and it all went downhill.
And yes, Burton treated the movies more like a comic book, and quirky... but that is Burton. THe most interesting take was that he didn't make Batman the most prominent character, because that was, in his vision, Batman: someone who doesn't live in the limelight. The man must be applauded for that.
And don't mistake Burton for the being Joel Shumacher who directed the other two awful ones.
