and you'll suddenly be able to control all that immense power? or do you just intend on punching the head off of every villain/dictator you might fight? 😛

ll,it would take time for me to get back to full charge, wouldn't it?

Also, how many villians does our earth have.....and also,i wouldn't have any issues with ripping sadamn in two.

I know what you meant. The dcu only needs 4 Kryptonians while they need 7200 gl's.

Fail.

I would take Superman's powers. It would take immense willpower to not go insane, but taking over the world would be a piece of cake.

Knowing me though, I'd probably design some space gear and leave the planet, never to return. Why bother ruling some ass-backwards planet when there is all of deep space to explore.

the only thing id do with Supermans powers is fly at full speed several times through the Earth and then find a red star and go inside

one thing that did make me LOL is that someone said that supes powers sucked because you'll be screwed if you fly to a galaxy that had a red sun.

You'd probably be screwed because you'd probably be lost then. In spAaAaAaAace!

so, how is it that choosing Supes' powers gives ya super-INT (which ISNT a power) also again??

Well, in the real world, there is no yellow or red sun radiation. It's made of the same stuff in different quantities. Not to mention there's radiation coming from everywhere.

Aside from that, you can fly away from a red star before you're too bad off, but can you find Earth if you had just flown to another galaxy? Maybe if you stare at it and fly backwards the whole time.

It's pretty simple - Superman's physiology is part of his powerset. His nervous system is fast enough that it can react faster than light. Therefore instead of the normal speed of nerve cells - depending on the type of fiber, the neural impulse travels at speed ranging from a sluggish 2 miles per hour to, in some myelinated fibers, a breackneck 200 or more miles per hour. But even this top speed is 3 million times slower than the speed of light, which is roughly at where Superman's nerve cells would have to be transmitting for him to move at the speeds he does.

So let's say a second goes by. To a normal human, if you took a snapshot of their mind, you would see the things going through their heads, and how long it would take to process. Now look at Superman's brain - during that same second, he could have easily processed 300 million times more thinking than a regular human would have. Top it off with photographic memory and enhanced senses, and you can easily see why someone with Superman's powers would become much smarter, much faster, than they would without.

Basically for one second of thought, if you had Superman's physiology, you would have the equivalent of more than 11 days pass by in terms of thinking in superspeed. It would take training to get your mind to slow down to even process what people are saying, because when you gained the powers it would look like everybody are statues. Imagine waiting the equivalent of an entire year, trying to listen to a regular human spit out a single sentence.

This is where the willpower would come in - most people would simply go bananas with this kind of thought dilation and sensory overload.

Thats why that made me LOL.
Because if I has supes powers I wouldn't just be like "peace, im out" "got to go fly out to deep space"

I would live on earth like a god surrounded by women and nice crap.

Given that Superman Prime (future one million version) lived on for thousands of years, it would seem that he doesn't age much if he has a constant large amount of sunlight.

lame, definaltey GL ring ftw, Superman powers suck, especially on Earth, unless of course your amused by small things

U realize that even in the COMICS he doesnt have "super-INT" right?? alot of the tech he has comes from either his fathers notes or crap that the Eradicator left over.

now, I'll grant ya that his perceptions of time are quite different from ours (hyper-metabolism & the spr-spd and all that), but the SUPER-INTELLIGENCE is a thing of the past.

shit, if he were to have had it then all of the Flashes should too, and that aint the case either.

Flashes have different physiology, and they do in fact think in superspeed as well (Flashes have feats such as reading books and memorizing them). The ability to think at 300 million times faster than a regular person might not make you "super-intelligent", but on that note, it would grant you far more time to think about everything you're doing in a given moment and combined with physiology that prevents the breakdown of nervous tissue and ensures optimal health of said nervous tissue, the fact remains that your brain would be in a constant state of hyper awareness which would far exceed even some of the most brilliant minds of Earth.

Don't get me wrong; it's not going to make you super smart in all fields or anything like that, but it would give you the appearance of being super smart at the very least, due to the increased memory retention, increased reaction time, and increased thinking speed. In short, with Superman's physiology, you could learn more in a month than the average human would in their entire lifetimes. Say for example you sucked at chess - you wouldn't become a chess champion overnight, but you would now have the ability to memorize every chess book ever made and become a genius at chess in the matter of a few weeks.

As opposed to saying, "Ring, make me super intelligent." Bada-bing-bada-boom done deal. 😬

Or you could make everyone else dumb so you are smarter by comparison. The options are limitless!
