I think real world logic actually has to be used, but only up until a certain point. Exactly. It depends entirely on the situation. Example, here Galactus is going all out trying to take out Tenebrous and the planet is still intact. Hell, the ground they are fighting on doesn't have a dent.
But yet Surfer and Morg fight destroys planets and moons.
