You don't have to agree with their political thoughts to see what immensely great music they created. Otherwise you would for example have huge problems liking Zappa and RATM at the same time...that's not the case though. At least not with people having taste.
Yeah, I guess if you like Rage strictly for their music, that's fine.
However, that was never how they intended to be viewed. They were brilliant musicians and Zach was probably the best rapper ever strictly due to his intelligence and the fact he stood for something more than "bling" and "hoes", but they were at the heart, a political group.
The fact they made very aggressive sounding music turned off a lot of people who agreed with their political beliefs, and attracted a lot of people who were just angry at the world in general, instead of the evils of the world.
However, Joni Mitchell now sells albums at Starbucks, so Rage selling their shit on iTunes doesn't seem that ridiculous by comparison.
