Composite Fear

The world's civilizations have all been different throughout all of time. Though one thing has remained the same:

We all have our own form of mythology.

Religion, the supernatural, even our media shows signs of it.

The year of 2005, a stone was found by a group of scientists with inscriptions upon it reflecting the mythological beliefs of many different cultures, including the Greeks and Romans, the early Europeans, the ancient Egyptians, etc.

For two years, they worked to translate it. They succeeded in December of 2007, but the world would soon fall to its knees.

This particular stone ("The Cornerstone" as fate would come to name it) brought to life the creatures that we all held with such fear and respect. They began to roam the world, killing those who did not bend to their will. For two hundred years, they ruled...

2208: A resistance was formed, and the people allowed their newfound saviours to head forth, hoping they would slay the beasts and bring peace back to the world. Due to lack of training, they were killed in one fell swoop. Research began again to find a means to train and send forth our own army against them.

After another twenty years, Project Grave Trigger was formed, using only our best warriors to battle these beasts. Now, the fate of Earth... is in our hands...

Any and all character sheets must have what is listed here, though if you feel I've left something out that you wish to add onto your character, feel free to do so.

In other words, characters must include, but are not limited to the following:

Name
Age (Grave Trigger members should be no less than 16 and no more than 18; Mythos should be at least in the thousands range)
Appearance
Alliance (whether it be Mythos [the creatures], Grave Trigger [the humans], or neutral [either])
Weapons (don't overdo it, but don't underdo it, either. use my character as an example as to how much is your limit)
Bio/History

I will begin the RP thread sometime next week (any time from Monday to Friday, dependant upon when I am able to and when we have the proper support to begin and adequately portray this world's story)

Bio/History: James was volunteered by his parents into the Grave Trigger project at birth. All custodial rights were forfeited, and he was raised a cold-blooded killer, devoid of emotional attachment to anyone else, save for his training partner, Kitsune, with whom he has become very close. He now leads the Alpha Team of Grave Trigger, and is set to destroy the Mythos at any cost. Even if it means his own life...

Ainikki Uolevi La Jomana. PIRULLINEN ILKEÄ IHMINEN!

La Jomana is a myth from the finnish ancient tales, about a demonic woman which resides mainly in the seas. Her powers of deception and shapeshifting was along with her a legend, a bedtime story that people used to scare little children and strangers. What few knew, was that the stories that were told was real. The stories that was not real became reality and this La Jomana, Ainikki Oulevi was created out of their imagination more or less. If she, or the thought of her existed first: No one knows.

Bio/History: Al is a Mytho's that usually is known as eating other Mytho's. And gaining there powers. He usually is calm, nice and innocent. But once he drinks a Mytho's blood he turns insane, and cold. Usually resulting in multiple deaths.

no, i simply stated that i would soon start the actual thread containing the game, which i referred to as the RP thread. this thread is naught but for registration. i apologize for any confusion. all characters thus far approved.

So.... against the Mythos but not with the humans? 🙂

Ya he's gonna be a loner lol! But when he drinks a Mytho's blood, he's insane. And without the Mytho's blood he's nice and will follow the Humans or Mythos.

An Asparas; The Child of a serpent and a common water nymph. Nirea; as a child, was always regarded with disdain from those around her, even of her own 'kind'. She herself knew she would grow to be much more.

When she was young, her body looked like that of a malformed fish. She had a tail, and webbed limbs. Even gills along her neck. As she grew, however, She as most Asparases do, came to look like her mother. A stunning beauty. Her hair was golden and flowing, and she gained the ability to take her serpent form at will. Her up growth did not come easily though.

At birth she was a hated being. Her father was gone before they had the chance to meet, and her mother was looked down upon by all. Eventually, the two were exiled form a small clan they had lived in. Nirea was eight at the time. Still, she looked as some regarded as 'hideous'. One evening Nirea was out on her own, playing in the shoreline, when some new beings approached. They held weapons she hadn't seen. When she ran to tell her mother, she found her slaughtered and covered with the scent of those humans who had killed her.
Nirea eventually learned to fend for herself, and at the age of 16 realised her ability to take the form of her father.

Now that the humans have regained some of their lost power, Nirea is determined to overthrow them once more, and until recently that was the most important thing in her life.
