Don't go looking to fit yourself into religion. Fit religion into yourself. Of course if you find that distressing or impossible you might simply be an athiest.

You can't choose to believe in something - you have to believe yourself that God exists or whatever, and not choose it or else it isn't really a belief if that makes any sense

...though I didn't mean the religion forum is a bad place. Just that we become so polarized that asking for religious advice is one of the most potentially volatile things you can do. But it's still useful for discussion, and can be used productively toward your attempt to find a religion.
