Sephiroth regenerated his entire body from a few cells in a box. After that, he didn't need to regenerate anymore, because Cloud wasn't able to harm him during the fight(with exception of Omnislash).
If Sephiroth wanted, he could let Kratos rip him apart just for fun, and then regenerates a second later.He can turn Seph to stone? I didn't knew status-effect worked on Seph? I could swear they didn't.
And the fact Omnislash Version 5 destroyed a guy who could regenerate his whole body in a few seconds, is proof of how powerful the attack really is.
I want to see Kratos do something like that.

Defeated many times? ONE TIME is all the times Sargeras has been defeated in combat and that was plot induced. His plan to take Medivh was brilliant, what he didn't count on was that Medivhs own personality would repel against him. His Avatar was defeated because he wanted it to be defeated. He was removed because it generally isn't a good idea to have such a powerful presence lurking in the shadows that was why he was killed off. But hey why take my words when you can get the writers word on the subject.

a challenge rate of 26 isn't what Sargeras has it's at 73 then add the 7 he gets for being a Eternal it's certainly better then the lich kings laughable 50 you are using as comparison, but hey it only makes the difference between them 30 in CR because the Lich King doesn't get those additionel stats because he ISN't a Eternal.
