Am I wrong to conclude you admit that the Bible might very well be talking about actual historical events and actaul historical characters?

And if you do, am I then wrong to conclude that the only point you were trying to make through all this flaming and stuff, is that the Bible is no proof that there was divine intervention?

Jesus Christ!

What??! What's the problem? Just trying to clear things up. Remember your own words. You said the bible was fiction....

Divine intervention is a product of the human imagination.

So?

You don't care if it's imaginary? 😕

Then according to your own logic, you are off topic.

And everyone else realizes I was talking about the god aspect of the stories in the bible. I only said it a dozen times) This part of your argument has already been addressed and dismissed as being a valid one.

Actually you are off topic. I already demonstrated it was about history. But never mind, the point of divine intervention came from you and you used it to burn me to the ground because of it, even though I never made it.

Some form of apology would be in order.

Why would I care that you feel that way? What's your point?

^ You are both off topic. 🙄

But so am I. 😱

Let's close this dump.

Divine intervention is a product of the human imagination, is a more reasonable definition of divine intervention. I can prove that humans have a well developed imagination. If you say that divine intervention is anything real, you would have to prove there is a divine that is intervening, and that cannot be done. Therefore, to look at a book and say that archaeological finds supports a divine intervention ignores the fact that god cannot be proved. If there is no god (bible god) then all of the archaeological finds in the world would never support a divine intervention.

The argument in this thread is circular logic.

Yes, we've been on the merry-go-round several times now. But one of the customers felt it was justified to be nasty to one of the other visitors, because he didn't like the color of his horse.

It's some useless debate. Heck, no one even knows how to define or research human imagination? Does it even exist?

I imagine so...

I bet you do. 😂

Then you missed the forum header that said RELIGION FORUM; you missed his constant use of religion as a talking point in the thread; you missed every post he's ever made, which only appear in the religion forum; and you missed everyone else saying exactly the same thing.

If you really want to see who "took it off-topic", you'd have to pay attention to the 2 pages of posts that were made before I got involved.
