Versus Forum dead...dying?

I've noticed there's a lot less activity in the versus forum and new threads don't get a lot of posts like they used to.

I'm wondering what the reasons are and whether anyone can post solutions to liven up the versus forum?

I think some reasons are:

1) moderation is too strict
2) important members being banned (Nvr)
3) just plain lack of new interesting matchups
4) knowledgeable members sticking to tournies rather than versus threads

Partialy.

Even when there are interesting match-ups, there are few people interested in discussing them.

4) knowledgeable members sticking to tournies rather than versus threads

Knowledgeable members are tired of getting involved into discussions, mostly due to the lack of good debaters and instead of waisting their time talking to a brick wall, they'd rather do something else.

Most of the debators that have been around for a while have debated each other to death...so we basically joke around on PM. 🙂
