He threw Desaad in his own torture chambers IIRC.
Also 10 years of prep is moderated somewhat when DS has enslaved the world, he was probably running from DS's minions for the first five years, he had to take out Desaad and pretend to be him for the next five without DS noticing, he had to create a substance that can block the Moubis chair sensors . . .
The stress of even trying would kill most people. Bruce with a year or two prep and the element of surprise could beat DS 313
