The Pre-Crisis Supergirl Respect Thread

Started by bluewaterrider14 pages

Time I started giving readers a better idea of how strong but restrained Supergirl REALLY is.

By showing just how powerful an opponent needed to be to legitimately challenge her.

Enter the unheralded, and largely to this point unknown, June Moone, aka the Enchantress.

My single scan summaries of Kara's more noteworthy strength feats to this point end with Kara, as Linda Lee, causing an earthquake by merely stamping her foot to the ground.

Appropriately, this entry BEGINS with a similar feat...

Kara's encounter with the Enchantress actually spans 2 comic issues.

As I'm trying to give readers a synopsis of the story for context, yet without translating more than about 30% of the content of any particular issue, I'm reducing imagery to the sparsest amount possible.

Still, I don't want people to be nagged by too many distracting questions.

So, for anyone who somehow someway got here without reading page 11 of this thread, here is what the "Dzamor" June (aka the Enchantress) is referring to actually looks like.

Note again this is also how June Moone (whose civilian identity is unknown to Kara at this point in the story), became the Enchantress in the first place.

(A good showcase of Kara's reasoning skill!)

Supergirl enacts her plan to stop the Ultimate Spell...

... by kicking Earth's moon out of orbit!

Realizing she has succeeded, Kara boots our moon back into place.

For completeness' sake, here's a bonus image, the panel that follows the preceding in the same issue...

Good thread, keep it up.
