Thursday Theatre!

In terms of speed, durability, and strength, Kara represents, arguably, the ultimate opponent.

Think about what the combination of speed, durability, and strength to such levels mean:

You can't hit her unless she allows you to.
You can't hurt her when you do.
And you won't have many options available if she decides to retaliate.

But Supergirl writers are a determined lot.

So re-enter now the rarest of the rare --
a non-powered villain with enough cleverness, resource, and luck to give our ULTRA-powerful heroine a legitimate challenge, SANS magic, SANS red sunlight...SANS kryptonite...

Invulnerability.

Action Comics #313.

Supergirl #1, volume 5. 3rd Printing.

A variant cover, drawn by Ian Churchill.

Homage to the original art of Curt Swan, done for the cover of Action Comics #252, Kara Zor-el's first featured appearance.

Earlier in this thread I posted a link to a vid of a person who bore a lot of resemblance to the Supergirl in MY head: Shana Martin.

Truth to tell, I wouldn't mind seeing someone like her playing Kara in a live action movie. But... that will have to wait.

In the meantime, as the link I gave earlier no longer works, here is a replacement...

Reminded that I haven't made any updates in this thread for awhile...

Hard to believe this was now 30 years ago ...

It's great to see these posts, with their detailed creator information and data. Keep it up, I'm glad I found your postings again.

Time passes very weirdly here, but I'm glad to see your posts, too, Iopy.

(And no, I wouldn't ordinarily respond to a message this late, but

1. We've already talked since you left your post above

and

2. I know you've been frequenting the KMC boards the last few weeks.

And small wonder! A LOT has changed in just the past few weeks hasn't it?)

Each page in a thread of this type is typically formatted to 20 posts. This should be the 20th post, and so my very next one should appropriately begin a new page for the newest chapter of Kara, though I must include mention of a few other things ...
