STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Home

Initiative is theirs as they move in to cause problems for you.

"Prepare to die!" Kardir snarls as he comes at you. The edges of his swords are actually 'coated' with energy, leaving a glowing red trail just behind his movements. He brings both swords down on you and in a brilliant flash, sparks and energy explode from the swords when they meet your lightsaber. You take 9 damage when he rolls four successes.

The cultists have hung back and focus on Gabriel, not wanting to shoot their leader by accident. All six open fire on your father... but you manage to push Kardir off for a moment and intercept their blasterfire with Bodyguard. He stays completely safe between you lending Defense and his Parry.

Your turn! Kardir has you locked in melee combat, however, so your attack on the cultists cannot go through. Gabriel handles them nicely; he only makes single shots to blast down each terrorist, dropping four with a Carnival of Carnage tap.

Whoever Sunda is fighting, he is using an illegally modified blaster with a cooling system and power pack that resemble a drum clip, allowing him to put out insane amounts of firepower.

Sunda performs a tumble that puts him under most of it but a spray of bolts skims him before he comes up with an enhanced punch on his opponent.

You catch a glimpse of a figure in a black, hooded cloak.

Alright, I'm going to swap in Forward Guard then, Tap it, and use Flurry on Gabriel.
If I don't hit all 4 successes, I'm going to use Strike, if applicable.

Then, since I'm behind, I'll swap Orthodox Guard back in, and make an attack on him again.

I'm assuming you meant Kardir!!

Last turn- after fending off Kardir's strong blows, you retaliate viciously! You get your four successes on nine dice. Kardir does not feel the sting of your blade just yet as he intercepts your flurry of attacks. Instead your saber makes contact with his swords, making sparks explode in his face this time. 24 damage!

Also, Gabriel actually took a hit for 2 damage without your defenses. Not bad, obviously.

This turn- initiative is theirs again.

Kardir taps Power Attack and slams his swords into yours, knocking it from your hand! Knockback from the tap means you lose your action this turn as you evade his other strikes and retrieve your saber.

Gabriel shoots down a cultist, but more are arriving!

Sunda performs a flip over the head of his cloaked assailant. When he lands and tries to strike, the armed man viciously smacks him across the jaw with the butt of his assault blaster before opening fire again.

I'm going to use another Twirl on him. Use strike if it doesn't complete again.

I assume you mean Flurry. After halving your pool and subtracting your Defense, that puts you at two dice...

Did I roll any 1s?

oh AT 2 dice, I'm an idiot.
I'll go for a regular attack then.

Are you still going to use Strike?

well let me know how many successes I roll
I can declare it after the rolls.

On eight dice, you roll five successes (with a 1 to 4 conversion by Orthodox Guard) and two 1s in addition.

Yea, gimme the strike

With the Strike, seven successes! And initiative is snatched back by you. And it is a Refresh!

Roan regains his saber and, instead of a series of rapid blows, delivers one swift strike that really presses Kardir to defend himself. Kardir manages to find an opening and returns the favor with 8 damage.

Gabriel whirls around and blasts down two Cultists trying to flank him.

Sunda taps Feint and Strikes his opponent, landing a solid hit... before taking a burst of lasers in the side. He cries out and goes down before taking a swift kick to the face from the cloaked figure.

Ah damn it.
I need to end this fight fast, to get back to Sunda.

I'll swap FG back in, tap it and use Flurry again.

Initiative is theirs.

You are frustrated again by Kardir tapping Power Attack as he grinds one sword against the other and unleashes a sharp red jolt that shocks you, taking your turn again. He closes in to run you through when Gabriel decides he has had enough of Kardir; he taps Eagle Eye and blows a hole through Kardir's shoulder for 15 damage.

The cloaked figure is throwing Sunda over his shoulder.

I'm going to disengage and Dash over to the hooded figure. I'll take the free attack, but use coordination.

It is Balance to avoid melee attacks, though I'm unaware if anything stops you from using both simultaneously...

Well then.
I will use both, if its allowed. But Balance if I can only use one.

Roan flees!

Kardir raises his swords to strike your exposed flank... but makes the mistake of ignoring Gabriel a second time. The CorSec Chief doesn't miss this time, and Kardir's heart explodes as a bolt goes through it. He drops and Gabriel runs for cover.

The cultists go after Gabriel- as per Kardir's final orders- leaving you a clear run to the hooded figure. It turns and you can feel it studying you. It says nothing.

"Drop him."

I'll raise my saber and attack. Regular attack.
