Straight Road- There is a stretch of road ahead on which you can play catch-up. Thrust check. Successes to pass: 1.
The cloaked figure guns his speederbike's engines! But he is laden with an extra body and not quite as speedy. Three successes to him.
Your engine is a little more powerful, Roan, and you add your Thrust of 5 to your Pilot pool for 13 dice. You pass easily and get four successes, keeping pace.

"We've picked up some new friends!" Gabriel alerts you as the whine of speeder engines grows louder. A trio of speederbikes have dropped in on your tail, and these have guns...
Go go go!
Barricade- The cultists are moving to close the road to you! Maneuver check. Successes to pass: 3.
After the straightaway, the speederbike zips through a small gap in a barricade that cultists have set up. You can't clear that gap... so you have to jump it! The CorSec speeder is not as nimble as that bike but Roan is a decent stunt driver (Barnstormer!). You make it with three successes, but just barely.
Normally when not driving straight, gunners are penalized... but Tactical Awareness minimizes that for Gabriel, so he only loses a die instead of three. He blasts a cultist right off of his speeder with the cannon.
The other two are let through the barricade and zip up close behind you. One unloads a bolt directly into the flank of your speeder, jarring you lightly; the other misses.

You are coming up on another barricade, but this time they don't have it quite in place yet. They're rolling junk out to block the road. Four successes means you zip through just fine.
The cultists keep pace and lasers zip past you. Gabriel takes one out in a fiery explosion, but another takes its place.
