I posted the match thread now because I may not be around on Saturday to post it then. I do not ordinarily do this, but since your match is on Saturday, and I may not be around, then this is the most efficient way of doing it. I can ask Badabing to lock the thread if you wish until the start time.

I don't think it makes a difference either way, but I think it's a bit strange.BTW Evangel, we can start the match now if you want.
I am going to leave your match for tomorrow just as you previously asked. No changes. It would be a hassle to start your match now after I announced that there would be no more "official" matches for today. It would also be unfair for id369 since he isn't browsing, and can't be aware of any schedule changes.
However, feel free to contribute your two-cents to the casual match thread if you are in the tournament mood.

Badabing used his executive decision and decided to close the match. I think the outcome was quite clear regardless.
Final Thoughts: Next time choose Darkseid 🐰
Seriously though, I was hoping you would choose Darkseid, Apocalypse, or Thanos instead of the round about complex strategy that failed with the voters. Though, you may not have believed Darkseid or any of the other favorites may have won, you still would have fought valiantly while representing your favorite character.
I have to ask though, was the temptation for greater power more influential on your character choices than choosing Darkseid. The Darkseid. The character you have in your signature.

Most tourneys I enter, one of my overriding goals is to draft someone I'm a fanboy of. Case in point: The Doctor. And to a lesser extent Thor. Or Spidey in ill's tourney. Or Adam Warlock when I paired with Scoob....I'm still rather proud of how much I managed to squeeze out of Adam, especially in a tourney where he had no business competing power-wise with most of the picks. I find that it doesn't really curb my plans, because usually there's more plans available to me when I know the character better.

Yeah well you lied a bit about Adam's powers to make him more competitive.
Probably. I don't remember specific instances, but it happens in any tourney. It's whoever has the most believable embellishment that wins...but we all embellish.
And to be fair, a lot of it was Adam's powers. He's just disgustingly versatile, despite lacking a bit in raw power. You know that better than most.

Yeah, the only one that comes to mind was that you once claimed he had magic equal to Dr. Strange.
To be fair, we never used Strange's magic in battle with Warlock....we realized that would be ludicrous. It was just that we had to say that or the "soul link gives Warlock total knowledge of a person" argument would've fallen apart. It does say total knowledge, but it's clearly something most writers choose to ignore. Like Death's Head II having numerous scientific geniuses stored among his 108 personalities, yet he really doesn't have any "genius" feats beyond fighting skill.

how the hell did you manage to get away with that?

It's really much mroe reasonable when it isn't Kandy saying it...it's contained in the writeup there. And we never actually made the magic claim. It may have come up and we defended it, but we never used it as part of a battle strategy.

I was tempted, and had I actually been taking this seriously, I might have considered it. but only for Darkseid with all canon showings.
I picked my team to push the envelope, and test the limits of abusing prep time.
