What I find interesting, is how each one has chosen someone they know coherently to be the basis of their team.
Which I think is smart. If you read a comic book thoroughly, if you spent a good part of your time making a detailed a respect thread. Chances are that if you get called on the character you know, and that person will get a severe kick in the ass, for not knowing the true specifics not mentioned in wiki, bio, or respect thread.
I love those moments. ^__^
Edit - Authority has bin a fun read so far.
^^ Pretty much. I'm as comfortable with Thor and Doctor as anyone (and probably more so than anyone with the Doctor), so it's a natural fit. Same with goob/Surfer, as well as a number of other participants in any tourney and their draft picks. Sometimes people get too fanboy-ish and ignore superior picks for the sake of familiarity, but usually the two can be combined.

Between Digi's team and my amalgam, our battle is guaranteed to be complete and utter chaos no matter WHAT the battlefield is 😆 ...
Pretty much. The dimensions are like 10x10 miles, right? It's just going to be a 10-mile stretch of energy and explosions....an onlooker wouldn't have a freaking clue what's going on....
...until the dust settles and my team is left.

The funny thing is that prior to this tourney I had not read a single comic with Professor Zoom.
That happens too. So it's not exclusively people we know well. Respect threads help a ton, and we're all capable of assessing a character based on a little knowledge, the researching it. I find it's easier with people I know better, but I'm not going to turn down an opportunity just because I don't know someone well (like with Lex in this tourney, for example)

I imagine it'd be tough to invoke spells going faster then sound, wouldn't it and17 – Power Nullification: Nullify super-powers (only applicable to characters who have the ability to nullify super-powers)
you didn't purchase the ability to remove powers so how are you going to take away my strength and durability?
