Think again. Obi-Wan said "Master Syfo-Dias was killed almost ten years ago!" So he was killed. I think Master Syfo-Dias was a Jedi who was killed around the time of TPM and Palpatine used that name and told the Kaminoens to create the clone army.

I know this is not the EU but I got an idea none the less, what if Sifo-Dyas was the Jedi Master that trained Ventress? Could be possible...maybe.

I think the logical choice for the one to be Master Siphi-Dias would be Darth Maul...but thats TOO obvious. Im hoping that Grand Moff Tarkin is Master Sipho dias.

Yes, he said he was under the impression that he was killed. But the look that Yoda and mace give each other emplies that there is something more...after all, Obi wan told Luke that his father was killed...But what he told him was true, from a certain point of view.

Master Sifo Dyas is not Maul. Maul was never Jedi.

Well, I agree, But Maul was "Well trained in the Jedi arts". Which emplies his master WAS if he was not...Possably Sidious? Could Sidious be Siphodius? It makes sence, its all in the name SI-pho-DIUS. Take out the "pho" part, and you got "Sidius". I've been tossing it arround for the past day. Although it would be a shocker for Tarkin to be Siphodius, i think its Sidius.

Hm. I'm of the mind to agree, especially given Lucas' fondness for name games. It's probably Sidious. Then again, we may never know. And that just plain sucks.

Sifo-Dyas was a jedi that Sidious wanted to turn to the dark side. Dyas refused so Sidious killed him. Doku then ordered the clone army using the name Sifo-Dyas. It's all on star wars.com!

Maybe Dooku killed Sifo-Dyas just after TPM, stepped to the dark side, became Sidious apprentice and then went to Kamino and ordered a clone army for the republic under the name Sifo-Dyas?

maybe it's just a small factor in the grand scheme of things and not worth all this effort?
