Ok ok...so how is this game? I've loved fighting games since I was a child, and eventhough I never got hardcore into KoF/FF, I played them enough to enjoy them and since SF4 reawakened my fighting spirit(not really dead just had nothing to play other than old games and tekken 5 on psp) and I want to jump the bandwagon lol. So...is this worth it? Considering the Blue game too...and I will reserve the Tekken LE
I'd rent it or play it @the arcade b4 buying it. I didn't like it very much when I played it @the arcade. Mature & Elizabeth are nowhere near enough of a reward for me to even consider getting the home version. Very good graphics, but that's about all it has going for it IMO. The roster is the shittiest one KOF ever had.

This is really gonna be an all new KOF.. like its going to have the characters and moves you've known.. but the pacing and combat is going to be much different.. namely due to the clanking and critical counter systems
I personally think its going to be much faster and more fun than SF4, and with less 1P skills involved, since you can pretty much do anything during critical counter hit as long as its fast enough to chain up
critical counters are sortof like a custom combo ultra.. but they arent a free ticket to EZ win land simply because you have to hit them with the critical counter animation as a counter hit (at least I'm pretty certain thats how it works)... plus you only have a limited time to use it when you get it.. the bar drains pretty fast

its gotten good reviews so far (and we all know i-drop's a foo). the gameplay and combo system seems pretty good based on the vids of the game.
so yes, get it. its got enough of the vets in there so if you could play SF4 and enjoy it, KoF is definitely worth it.
@ZF, I'm not saying that you won't like it just 'cuz I didn't, but it's just safer &smarter to rent it 1st. W/such a poor choice of characters to choose from, this game will likely get old VERY fast.

i already said that it looks good based on the vids and that its gotten good reviews thus far. as for the roaster, yeah, never said it was a great roaster or even a good one but its got all the vets (minus K) so that's all good imo. sure king, mary, manly iori and shingo might be missed (especially manly iori 🙁 ) but still that's 20 of the vets with enough of the old school and new school. all the rock solid characters that are famous and popular characters (i forsee a glaring black cloud of ryo hatred about to storm over this thread) for the tournaments. and maybe that's the point. or maybe it isn't.
fact is i aint gonna cry cuz K' aint around. i firmly believe that once a character's been done justice in his own story and given a good ending he doesn't need to be around for no reason. heck, i wasn't complaining when they replaced Kazuya with Jin in T3 because i felt they gave kazuya a good closure....and kazuya's my fav fighting character of all time. then there's big boss and how solid shit's been the face of the franchise (and now gayden) despite big boss being the all time most badass character ever. some things just need to come to an end eventually or just need to end soon...like iori's gay outfit 😐

I'm not concerned w/Shingo to be honest. It just don't seem right for Ash's team & rehash to be there while K' sits out. Ash's team & rehash fit perfectly into the "things that need to end" category(Marco would have fit into this game nicely). K' don't. K's in the "why the **** am I not in this game?" or the "are Ralph & Clark that much better than me?" category(I have nothing against Ralph & Clark, but I think K' is a bit more important to KOF). King & Blue Mary would have been waaay better here than Elizabeth(does ANYBODY care about her besides the fools who put her here?) & Mature. This roster just didn't deliver enough of the goods that I've come to expect from KOF.
I agree about Ash's team except Shen Woo. Shen is badass and is far from a steve fox ripoff. like i said well before, the guy is chinese, is a ruffian and since i've been to china and hong kong i know that walking around with an open shirt is to asian toughguys as is wearing baggy pants for rappers. its that simple. steve on the other hand has no business wearing aloha shirts the dude's english. he'd get killed for wearing an aloha shirt in UK 😂

No, you just mentioned him never whinning or given praise. Wich in the case, 96 isent the sole example, but only one of them i gave you. I can also use the Zero example, when every team was chicken scared of him after what he did to Terry, and only the AOF team had the gus to face him. And that wasent 13 years ago.
