Dragonball Movie 2008

The racing in Speed Racer was the only good part imo....and oddly enough the part that irked me the most lol. The sad this is...DB could be a horrible movie but it'll probably have a lot of people go to it and make a lot of money when it first opens. I know a lot of people who don't know anything except I told them a DB live action movie is coming out next year and they all plan on going already.

I don't think it'll be horrible. It'll be different than the manga...but not horrible. I'm only worried about them changing up the Saiyan or Freeza saga. Those are the sagas in which nothing at all should be tampered with.

I don't think it'll be horrible either. Maybe not a really great movie but not horrible just that even if it was it'd probably still make a lot of money at least opening weekend.

Yeah, it would. And I don't think it'll be horrible or bad...just different from the manga.

Its also weird seeing Master roshi not look like an old guy and since its called dragonball why is'nt goku being played by a little kid ?

There is a big rumour that they hire a lot of babies, for a scene of Planet Vegita, and the resemblance of Bardock, i think is going to start with a flash back of what saiyans are and then the arrive of Goku to earth and being found by gohan, until that cool.

I didn't use the internet for research because I don't want to know anything about Speed Racer because the theme behind it just sounds lame.

Anyway, I hope that rumor is true, that would make the movie awesome.

the live movie for Streetfighter was bad, just imagine a live dragonball movie.

That teaser poster looks...decent.

I'm still waiting for a trailer, though.

It's decent, but could've been better.

A lot about the movie seems like it could be better...But I just hope it isn't a total flop. I don't think a trailer is going to let anybody actually get a feel for it either. Most trailers make a movie look better than it is anyway. A trailer will be cool but not a good judge imo.

The only good judge is usually seeing the movie itself. A lot of people are saying this sucks because they think it has to because of what it is, but I just say go in & enjoy the cinema experience.

So do I. I think as long as you don't go in with any though of it being exactly like DB but more of a tribute then it'll probably be a lot better than if you go in expecting it to be the same. That's why even though I've had my share of actually complaining about it I'm going to see it. Because I think it could actually be entertaining. As long as it's action-oriented with some comedy thrown in it without being cheesy it could work well.

I'm just hoping there will be no major changes with the movies based on the Saiyan & Freeza sagas.
