I admire your choice of sig really i do. The fact that you can so openly have a montage of Miracleman in various homo-erotic poses shows just how comfortable you are with your self. But then id expect that from one of advanced years. Bravo!! Credit where credits due. 🙂

And isn't the hype a bit much anyway? It is loudly proclaimed as the first gay title character in a mainstream comic. Is that such a big deal? The wildly popular The Authority featured two very prominent gay superheroes, Apollo and the Midnighter. And Alan Moore's legendary Miracleman comic featured a gay hero roughly 20 years ago. Television shows like Six Feet Under, OZ, and Queer as Folk bring homosexual characters to the forefront, and they have mainstream popularity. Are comics just behind the times?

There's a dump-truck full of wacko stuff going on in Miracleman, but a thought that struck me today (largely as a result of reading about the possible facistic overtones of certain characters in Watchmen) is the degree of moral ambivalence in the book. On the one hand, Miracleman himself becomes the most benevolent of all bonevolent god-kings of the Earth, by the end of the series. He rules with compassion, love, wisdom, and infinite kindness.
On the other hand, the word "benevolent" should clue you in that he's actually a benevolent dictator. He doesn't take over the world as much as the world offers itself to him. To employ Moore's own sexual metaphors, Miracleman's rulership is not a rape, it's willing and extatic copulation between him and the rest of the world. Miracleman even has his frozen semen freely dispenced to any woman in the world who wants to have her very own miracle baby, who will, of course, grow up to be beautiful, powerful, and wise. Not to mention they hump like bunnies.

scarlet read the thread, all of you don't know storms powers. she can definitley beat him and even darkcrawler admitted storm haws the better chance of winning. when namors only way of winning is by pshyical attack or throwing something when he is facing an opponent who is able to control the sky he flies on then he is hardly getting close to winning.
