Do you guys find both MJ, and Box over the cap? Because you can't ban a character based off the reasoning that the amalgam is to powerful.

i'm not sure what you mean, tell the truth. jefferies and box come as a tandem. i don't care that he paired them up with ivo. it's jefferies i have the problem with. even box doesn't mean anything. 😬

if he stays, i gotta feeling i'll have a few i-told-ya-so's to send out in a few weeks . . . 😉

All I'm stating, is that you can't ban a character based on how powerful the amalgam is, just the individual characters that make it up.

Well, if they said ban them. That's the two mods. Now it needs a majority consensus, and the character will be banned

In defense of Loki:

He is certainly both powerful and versitile (which is of course why I drafted him). In most showings however, he's certainly less so than a Green Lantern. His high showings, while perhaps over the line in some cases, usually involve significant use artifacts, prep, or other circumstantial support that wouldn't come into play here.

For example: when he famously turned Thor into a frog, he tapped the power of Surtur's sword do do so. Unless the dread blade Twilight will be lying around on the battlefield (please please please please 😉 ), that shouldn't really be a disqualification.

WRT comparisons to Wonder Woman, while he can do many things that she can't, he certainly doesn't exceed her at any of her specialties. There should be no problem there either.

I'll go look the respect thread over. It's probably worth a 2nd look. I stand solidly behind the others though.

Thanks guys. Keep in mind also that most of the really out-there stuff in the respect thread is old. Lots of the characters we're throwing around here have some rather bizarre Silver Age silliness in their closets. We generally take that sort of thing with a grain of salt in forum battles, and approach our character interpretations with more modern sensibilities.
