Darth vader and his secret apprentice succeed at killing the emperor however galen marek turned on vader, he had sided with the rebellion. He fights vader too the death, sacrificing himself to destroy a vader fully lost too the dark side. In the wake much of the imperial high command is destroyed, the rebellion escaped mostly intact and growing support as the wavering imperial armies and fleets are being toppled, quitting, surrendering or form their own dominion under a commander, warlord or bureaucrat. Rebellion support is on the rise in the wake, as well as numerous other factions trying to take what they want. The jedi are hunting by some and actively recruited by others, relatively few still survive.
It's a new galaxy, engaged in vicious territory wars, it's own heroes and villains whether they are just doing what they can too get by like the Syphix sisters or running with a high price on his head like an exiled mandalorian merc. The Mandalorians gather and prepare for war under an alliance with an ambitious imperial war lord in exchange for a favor too the mandalore.
I'm leaving it mostly vague because how the galaxy forms depends on what you guys do with your characters. i will introduce an unifying storyline for the roleplay

the fleet building will work by points. as of right now, and i expect this to change as issues come up, it will be, i'm looking into ways to play out combat for those that want it
45 points total
17 points for a Star Dreadnaught (super star destroyers etc.)
5 points for cruisers/battles ships(imperial star destroyers, mon calamari cruisers etc.)
4 for Frigates (nebulon b, Acclamator star destroyer etc.)
3 corvette/carriers (corellian corvette, escort carriers etc.)
2 assualt freighters/gunship squads
1 Starfighter/bomber/interceptor squadrons, this only counts for extra starfighters, another ships complement of starfighters and ships do not spend your points
Rules for the Fleet
1. absolutely no super weapons (i.e death stars and such) this is unfair towards other players as they are mostly almost indestrucable, and would almost requiring god modding to defeat, plus it's too much power and spoils the fun
2. you can use any ships you want to make your fleet, however they can not be ships that come into production after this rp takes place, but can be almost as far back as you want
3. please be creative with the fleets, it would be a little lame to see every side having the same or nearly the same fleet build
4. exceptions to rule 2 are experimental ships that were scrapped, destroyed by rivalling faction or ridiculously hard/expensive to make and there would be no logical way your character could get a hold of them (i.e. the TIE-Phantoms)
5. you can make your own ships if you wish, however they should follow the specs of a canon ship. this is so the customs ships remain relatively realistic. certain exceptions might be made for this rule, so ask me about custom ships if you wish.
