The Incredible Hulk

I'll probably go see it again, and if I do, TIH will be the first movie I've ever seen at the theater more than once.

I've never understood that comparison and I truly feel that anyone who actually thinks the Hulk looks like Shrek is an idiot who's openly displaying their stupidity.

The Hulk is big and green, and so is Shrek. The Hulk looks like an ogre, and Shrek is an ogre. Dah-dahhhh! There's the comparison. Wasn't too hard to put those together, was it, Stewie? Now, what was that openly displaying one's own stupidity?

Thank you.

Dark, violent, awesome final fight (similar to the Superman vs Doomsday animate movie) and great journey for Banner, is a mature good movie, i now find hard that the dark night could be darker than this TIH movie. Hulk do the feats that he is famous for in comics, for the fans.

The Dark Knight will probably be the better movie, but probably won't be as fun of an experience. I was literally on the edge of my seat throughout the entire movie.

Batman is always gonna have the edge when done well, in movies.

I'm going into it expecting it to be better, but that's not definite. I'm just going by movie reputation.

You're welcome. Also, I like your attitude; it's rare to find someone in the web world who accepts their mistake, and is thankful for a little bit of learning. I think we're going to be good friends, you and I.

That's it. Glad I could educate you.

Also, I found your story to be quite lacking, Toku.

Hulk Buster vs. Hulk, Leader, SHIELD, villain team-up, Abomination rematch, and it's lacking?

It's not lacking villains, it's lacking interesting, believable story. It's cliched and boring or predictable at times and feels like you just wanted to bring in as much stuff (villains, heroes, etc) as you could, probably more for sentimental value than to make an interesting plot. I just don't think it is a very good story. Sometimes less can be more. But you know, opinions like assholes, if you like it, more power to you.

To the people who has seen the movie, how is the battle between the hulk and abomination?

Ok, now you're just adding your own stuff, because the only 'cliche' is the hero eventually winning.

It's amazing! One of the best fights in a superhero movie yet! My only issue is that the fight seems too short, though, and should've had more landscaping.

Haha, okay, your story is perfect. You should send it into Marvel for consideration. They can't, but worship your genius and grant you complete powers for the next installment of the Hulk movies.

I can't remember who told me why Lee's was shit...(it was either you, Robtard, or AC.) They gave reasons of poor acting, bad animation for the hulk, and taking too long for the story to get momentum. If those were the reasons that the new hulk is better, I agree on 2 of those three points. The acting was much better in "Hulk"(Use your inductive reasoning to figure out what I thought was better in TIH.) I literally laughed out loud when Ed Norton did is lame ass cheesy line before he jumped out of the helicopter. I was almost sure that Ed got that little bit put into the movie...or at least his touch. Liv just about gagged me every time she opened her mouth. She tried too waaay too damn hard and came off as a friggin' mystic or hippie. She was the worst part of the movie, imo.

Spoiler:
I really liked the speaking part in TIH for big Lou. When Lou took out the pizza and we got to see how big his arms STILL are, you could hear people gasping in the theater...BOTH times I saw the movie. (A couple behind me in the Jersey theater were like "Wow...didja see his arms?"

Let's see......after watching the movie in a much much much much better theater....

I've got to go with "The Incredible Hulk". It was hard to decide at first...I thought it was awesome when the Hulk bit off the war head and spit the war head at the helicopter...

Spoiler:
but the Abomination does something even cooler when the soldier fires a shoulder fired rocket at his back
...I basically did a comparison like this down the middle and the things I liked about "The Hulk" were done better. Really, it was just the shitty acting at points in The Incredible Hulk that made me like Lee's better...it was a real turn of for me. But there are other points in The Incredible Hulk that are pretty good...so it wasn't all bad acting.

Over all, the special effects were just friggin' awesome. Awesome awesome awesome. I'm all about action and fighting. The new Hulk had more of it and it was better quality. Sure it sounds immature...but that shit sells tickets for a reason. The first one was awesome all around...the second was better.

The scene in the factory was just waaay the f**k better in a nice theater. I am one of those people who like parallels with the comics when they do these adaptations and it was a better parallel to the comics.

Spoiler:
I was really happy that they incorporated Samuel Sterns into the movie. I was disappointed that they changed the story a bit just to have The Leader in the film...great to have him, though. The Leader was a great opponent of the Hulk...I wonder how this all fits in with Captain America...and later, the "Avengers" movie?

Well I really enjoyed this Hulk reboot. The 2003 sucked big time IMO and I am glad they redid it. I wasn't going to see it at first because I thought it would suck based on the 2003 one but I was talked into going to a midnight showing by a friend and we both enjoyed it immensely. It was VERY entertaining. I was more entertained at the Hulk I think than I was at Iron Man based mainly on the big ending fight scene (I found Iron Man's big fight scene a let down, though I enjoyed the movie overall). My main gripe with Hulk is Liv Tyler. Now I think this is coupled with the fact that I saw her in the Strangers a couple weeks ago and that movie and her acting was so bad in that instance that as soon as I saw her I already had a negative impression and her lack of range only made it worse. To me her Betty Ross was no different than the girl in the Strangers. She's not one of those people who disappears into her roles at all, and she can't act so basically it's like watching Liv Tyler...and I wanted to see Betty. But whatever. She didn't ruin the movie for me. I still had a great time at it and I wouldn't mind seeing it again.

Marvel is kicking ass and taking names this summer. I'm a DC girl though and a Batfanfirst so I am really hopeful that the Dark Knight will be my movie of the summer, but I have to give it up to Marvel.

Wasn't me.

I don't give reasons. I state facts.

I'll give reasons for ya.

-Horrible story.
-Completely inaccurate in every single way(the dad's name wasn't even right, for God's sake, plus Hulkzilla, Absorbing Dad, and so on).
-Stupid villains.
-Poor soundtrack(excluding 'Set Me Free', which wasn't even in the movie, and is a good song)
-Odd looking Hulk.
-Annoyingly mopy Banner.
-Extremely annoying comic panels(using it once or twice is ok, but they might as well have used them while Bruce was making a friggin' sandwich).
-Awful pacing.

Feel free to add.

I'd imagine it would be some time before they do an Avengers movie and tie in the Hulk.

Captain America 2011
Ant-Man 2010
Thor 2010
Iron Man 2 2010

These are just preliminary dates and they usually get pushed back some. Though I'd imagine they'd want to get working on Iron Man 2 asap, as the first made serious money.

Though I feel that a movie with that many heroes will be lacking as they have to fit eveyone in/spotlight people in around a two hour timeframe. Unless they focus mainly on a few characters, but they you make some people happy and piss off some people. Maybe they should plan on a two-part movie from the beginning.

It would definitely be a case where the actors have to set serious ego aside.
