Ok so i seen "The Incredible Hulk" and I didn't like it.
Although it's better than Ang Lee's version, it's not way better. The Hulk character looked way better, though.
Here were my problems:
- Since when does did Banner getting horny cause him to turn green? I thought the only emotion or feeling that turned him like that was anger?
- When Banner jumped from the chopper, he slammed into the ground as Bruce Banner: the human. Shouldn't he have been jello upon impact? 2ndly, and again, why did he turn green? Was he angry that he hit the concrete? Don't tell me fear motivated his turning green. Again, doesn't he have to be angry, and only angry, to turn green?
- There was a corny Ang Lee softy Hulk moment that happened when Abom. was on or in front of the crashed heli Betty was in and Hulk looked at Abom with a shyly look.. Wtf?
- Why didn't Hulk kill Abom? He was fiercely choking him as if he was trying to do it. Abom was definitely trying to kill him, right. Comic Hulk wouldn't sent him to hell.
- I would've like to have seen what happened to Stan Lee after he drank the tainted pop.
- Hulk Smash, lmao!. That moved looked so commercial, so market looking. I was waiting for a giant 72 oz. icy Mt. Dew to pop out of the cracks , with the Hulk grabbing the drink, and roaring @ consumers to "Drink It!"
- And that power clap. Is that even suppose to create wind? I thought that move was more to create a form of sonic energy that destroyed/crumpled stuff like cars building. Yet it only blew away flames.
And the cave scene too me back to the dreadful '03 Hulk all over again. Imo, The Hulk should really never be seen in that light. A soft Hulk?! CMooonn!! lol!.
The story was mediocre. It was a typical military vs Hulk story where Banner, whilst trying to find a cure, constantly has to escape and gets caught every once in a while, turns into the Hulk and escapes after causing some destruction, then it starts all over again days later. Yawn.
Man. I give this movie a 5/10. I think i gave Ang's Hulk 3/10
My take and my opinion.

So, your problem was mainly that you did not know that the Hulk is not only caused by anger (and also that you don't know much about the comic Hulk at all, but choose to assume). Well...since you know now, is that problem solved?
This is basically all I have to say in regards to FotN's post as well.
You don't actually know much about the Hulk besides the common knowledge stuff, huh?

He turns in to the Hulk when his heart rate reaches 200, being horny would cause this...
and also when he jumped out of the helicopter, if you look closely you can see him changing...
alsothe "soft hulk scene", well many times in the comic you see a softer side of The Hulk, the movie is just sticking to the original comic, showing that he does have compassion to an extent.

No you weren't, that is just too far.

"Stop." followed by an orgasm. 😐
The movie goers in New Jersey all clapped when he did the Hulk Smash...it was obviously in there for the fans.
One thing I liked....The Hulk looked like he was in contest shape...ready to step onstage.

You thought wrong, then.

No, it kicks in as a survival measure. Again, research this shit before you go see it.

It's called chemistry.

And how do you know what comic Hulk would have done? You sound like you've never read a single Hulk comic in your life.
Hulk is not a murderer.

To each their own.
I personally find it a bit frustrating that people moan about not seeing him smash things up, then moan when he literally starts Hulk smashing. It's reasons like this that make me glad they didn't cater to those people.
Fact is, Hulk will never be for certain people. It will always be for a specific crowd. Iron Man is taken more seriously based on the fact that he's a man, not a big, green mutate. That's fair enough, if you can't see past this, fine, but then either do the research or recognise there's a lot more you don't actually know.

It greats a powerful gust also. Seriously, don't go see a comic adaptation and then criticise it because you don't know anything.

Well your opinion isn't entirely valid, seeing as you haven't got the first clue about Hulk's character. His story has always been a tragic, lonely one. Hulk is not void of calm or emotion simply because he is a manifestation of heightened emotions, never has been. If you think it's all smashing shit up, I suggest you read a comic.

I'd rather a story like that than Hulk going around, smashing shit up, being angry, all for the sake of people like you who don't know any better.
They conveyed both aspects of his tale well.

Well, opinion only goes so far. You made more factual errors than Troy.
