It seems you cannot do anything about a past crime. People are just interested in the crimes. You can definitely sue people for the beginning of crimes still thinking that you did not really lose anything yet.

I believe the article said something of her moving her head to the window as she was embarassed. I figured that would not make sense if the offender had the window seat.

I could understand her not speaking up. That would be very very scary. You don't really think straight in a situation like that, however, I don't think he would have a weapon of any sorts. I am sure that if she made a fuss and he tried to choke her or something, every man(and probably woman) in sight on that plane would beat his ass for fear of it being a terrorist or some sorts.
