Pens handling the puck cleanly on 2% of all passes
Malkin doing his best David Beckham impersonation
Crowd drooling on themselves during REM sleep
Zero Pens forechecking
Flyers backchecking at will
Fans sitting behind Pens bench acting like they'd rather be mowing the yard
Fleury offering nice juicy rebounds
Crosby passes whizzing straight by Pens players, who seemed shocked the puck was coming to them
Fans looking forward to that night's bowel movement
One note for Game 7 (if it happens) and all future playoff games:
Mellon Arena seems to be metal-friendly. How about some more Slayer and even some Pantera during breaks in the action???? From the 2nd period on, I've seen more energy and excitement during a Steelers preseason game.
😂 Yeah, the flyers have been outplaying the Pens for the last three games. Broken passes, lack of puck control and offensive pressure have been the Pens problem all year. Well, that and shot accuracy. I swear, If Malkin and Crosby can ever hone their accuracy they, both, could out shine the greats. The Pens biggest problem is that they're letting the Flyers beat them on the rush. It is pathetic how much they are getting beaten on the rush. My heart stops anytime that the Flyers begin to move the puck up.
I'm not worried though, i think the Pens will find their chemistry in the face of adversity. That seems to be the biggest problem, internally. That, and i don't think the coach knows what to do with Malkin and Crosby. However, the last coach didn't know what to do with them either. So, he just needs to keep them on separate lines and just let them find themselves and take charge of their own lines. I really think that constantly pairing them up is showing desperation. You can't have two leaders on the same line, especially when one of those leaders (Crosby) is a playmaker who has been trying to take more chances with shooting the puck instead of passing.
Either way, i'm very confident that the Pens will win this series. Even if they don't straighten out their play and come together, Fluery is the much better Goalie and he can, at anytime have a night where he stops 50 shots. Plus, my playoff beard has gotten monsterous 😆
