Wheres the god damn hockey?

No, IIHF takes care of the world championships while the NHL does playoffs.

Unlike soccer/football, there isn't an overall governing body for hockey.

The Canadiens are going to play these Broad Street Bullies. But these Broad Street Bullies are basically playing on 2 defensive lines rather than 3. Plus they are slower than the Habs. Their only saving grace is going to be power play.

Unbelievable atmosphere at the Wachovia Center tonight. Amazing comeback by the the Flyers! History was made.

It was free too, amazing. w00t

Well the Czechs are plastic world champions then, with the Yanks and Canadians missing not really much point.

Mind you the baseball "world series" only has US teams in it soo🙂

so whats this i hear about possible sabotauge in Montreal? mhmm
aparently there was sand laid down in the hallway between the ice and the Flyers dressing room mmm
thoughts?

Wouldn't surprise me if Montreal was trying to get an advantage, but we still slapped them around in 5 games so whatever.

I haven't heard anything so I assume it didn't happen.

Somebody on the Flyers would of noticed it.

There are articles on it, the VS announcers mentioned it, and they talked about it in the post game. It happened, but people don't know what the substance was or if Montreal did it purposely.

Ok.

I haven't heard anything in Ontario but I know if there was a deliberate attempt to gain an advantage like throwing sand on the ground, somebody in the press would know. It's too juicy of a story to not do it.

Chicago and Philly are literally night and day when it comes to home turf. Chicago looked like Disney on Ice on Friday yet looked like world beaters last night.

All I can hear outside right now is fireworks. Everywhere.

Hell of a run, shame it had to end. Can only imagine the chaos that is ensuing in Chicago right now.

Congrats to Chicago, I'm glad they won.

Not at all impressed with the Philly fans for booing during the post game celebration like they did, very disrespectful, very glad those mouth breathers didn't win.

True that, even if it was only about half as loud as the post-game boos in Detroit last season.

It seemed like they were booing Gary Bettman and not the Blackhawks?

Congrats to Chicago on stealing the cup from the Flyers last night ✅

Congrats to the Blackhawks. Now Chicago fans can go back to believing the Cubs will end the curse and that Jay Cutler is an elite quarterback.

No, only half of Chicago believes that the Cubs will end the curse. The other half just shakes their head sadly at them 😛

This happens all the time. Deal with it. Philly fans may not be the most respectable fans, not even close, but people make a big deal of Philly out of sh*t that happens all the time in every stadium of every sport. Like Bot said, it happened in Detroit last year, but since Philly did it it's a huge deal. It's almost funny. And most of the boo's were for Gary Bettman and not the Blackhawks, except when he announced the Blackhawks as Stanley Cup Champions.

And LOL @ Adam Burish calling Chris Pronger an idiot, and a terrible player during the postgame. I can understand if he doesn't like Pronger, but terrible? Pronger is one of the best at what he does, and is clearly in Adam's head if all he can think about after he just won the STANLEY CUP is how much he hates Pronger. 😆 😆

Pronger is a douche, the guy is rude and annoying. He has insulted a lot of the blackhawks players throughout the series. The hawks players say how good of a team the flyers are and how hard they battle and pronger says they are just like the opposition they faced before they got to the finals. He hates interviews too and shows it.

The guy has gotten away with so many penalties in the series, most of them blatant cross checks or slashes. The Hawks showed how crappy of a defensemen he can be, especially in games 5 and 6. Overall the flyers are better without him on the team.

Also, WOO Hawks!!!! 2010 champs baby!! I was at the parade in Chicago celebrating with my fellow 2 million fans.
