NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO fffuuu
thein lucky jersey doth forsaken me!!!!!! belch

well... for here on out for the rest of the playoffs i say.... LET'S GO BLACKHAWKS!!! 😄

Since the Canadiens won the final game (and the Canucks are out of play) the entire Canadian hockey media world will be following the Canadiens...

Yes, the Canadiens have an intense rivalry against the Bruins. Crowd-wise, though, the Bruins are the cholera, and the Flyers, the plague. And these two teams know how to compose with the noisy crowds in Montreal pretty well. The only thing that I hate about the Flyers is their nasty crowd.

Montreal crowd >>> all other crowd.

You know what? The Bell Center was sell out TONIGHT.

They sell out the 21 273 places by selling ticket 7,50$ to go watch the game on the big ass screen, like it was an ordinary game.

People here are crazy.

Can't wait til Friday! Come on Flyers!! w00t

Incredible playoff games. Way better than last years. As for Montreal, I am amazed to how far they have come. I knew they were a good team throughout the season, but defeating Caps and Pens, I'm impressed. I doubt anyone could have predicted this.

Congrats to the Habs. They definitely earned the right to advance.

I know Smas likes Gonchar, but I have just one thing to say about him and Montreal's fourth goal. After he quit and let Moen just whisk on by and take a shot, I turned to my wife and said, "it's going to be 4-3 Montreal, and that piss-poor effort is going to be the decisive factor in the whole thing."

Well, it didn't turn out to be 4-3, but it didn't need to be to see my point. I don't care what the score is, if I ever see anyone I'm rooting for QUIT like that again at such a critical time, I want you off the team. I don't care if it's the Steelers, Pens, or my 2nd/3rd grade soccer team. Try your hardest and lose? Fine. Quit and lose? Get the f*** out of my face.

So f*** Gonchar and his worthless slap shots from the point. I can forgive his PP performance, but never the pure quit on Montreal's fourth goal.

Said "big ass screen" is the biggest scoreboard of the NHL.

OK, the Canadiens' crowd is noisier than that of possible opponents but it probably isn't as nasty as that of the Flyers. And the Bell Center is one of the toughest arenas on players for a reason, along with the HP Pavilion (the home arena of the Sharks).

I don't remember liking Gonchar?

As for the Pens, the team didn't have it. They definitely need a scoring winger though. Phil Kessel would be perfect for them.

Sorry, you are right. I did some research from a few years ago and it was Dr. Leg Kick, not you, that said Gonchar and Hossa deserved to win the Cup.

It's cool.

Good thing to think about Pens fans, you'll be in the playoffs for at least 10 years.

i still like Gonch awehuhs
even if he gave up that goal, cause he wasnt the only one
Letang let one go as well if memory serves me right

I know everyone gave up plenty of goals and slacked off defensively. Goligoski needs a ton of work and Letang wasn't just irresponsible defensively last night but for the entire series. Man do I miss Scuderi!

But for Gonchar...man, if there was any way to make everyone completely forget about all the poor defensive play of an entire team - you did it, my friend.

At the time I was thinking, "wait - there must be a line change or a risk for too many men penalty...oh sh!t there isn't and the guy just plain quit!" Fleury was probably in shock, thinking "WTF was that?" And then, BOOM - 4-0.

How come Canada and the US are playing crap at this world cup in Germany?

i know what yinz mean though, every PP he was out by the line and when the puck would come his way, hed just let it slide on by

by the 6th or 7th time it happened i just facepalm

ah yes, Scudsy, i miss him too
he got the short end of the stick though, so to speak

Because 3 quarters of their players are not on the team because of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Also, a lot of the teams in the World Championships play together while the Canada team was put together two months ago.

Lastly, the World Championships are not barometer for hockey. The Olympics have been.

Who knows... Crosby could be filling in for Smyth, who is currently injured. Only to the IIHF's eyes would the World Championships be anything like a hockey barometer.

Nah, they're not going to add Crosby.

The Worlds are vastly different from Olympics in regards of competition: the Worlds are a lot more balanced: nations not qualified for the Olympics (i.e. Denmark) could put on a pretty strong showing against Olympic silver medalist the US and even Switzerland, whom Canada did narrowly defeat during the Olympic preliminary round, was able to constrain Canada to 2nd rank in Group B.

And, with each passing round, there is a risk that, even with a team like the Canadiens, that the wealthier supporters of their opponents would have a greater chance to purchase more tickets than the fans of the Capitals or the Pens could have laid their hands on (when they played the Canadiens, of course) But in each Bruins-Canadiens game, the Canadiens fans could have gotten a pretty large share of the tickets, while not being the majority, but still 10-20% of the tickets when the Canadiens last played the Bruins in the playoffs.

In the event the Canadiens win the next round (and they better be) the Sharks fans have no chance whatsoever due to the great distance between Montreal and San Jose. However, the Blackhawks fans might still have a chance, should they play the Canadiens. I mean, if the third round tickets could sell for $500 then imagine the Stanley Cup final!

No, I noticed on some sport channel that the Ice Hockey world cup is taking place in Germany.

Aha, I see. Not very well planned then is it. Or is it scheduled that way to give other countries a chance🙂
