credit? what credit? you created the rules, they're your rules, his post doesn't contain any information, yours does...

instead of making a new thread, you could have run a search (which is quick in its own right), and just posted, asking people how they think the match was going with your new rules...

if i didnt merge your one, i would have had to close it...

I understand that, but you're not understanding what I'm saying. And your post from two days ago is on my version of the battle. And you ask what credit is there. I have crated threads that nobody post on and I have threads that a lot of people post on. My longest thread was "KC Superman vs. WW Hulk", and that got closed down because some people act like little kids. And the second time I crated that same thread with different rules. You closed it down without a Good reason. Just because you feel you don't need another one. That's not a real reason to close down a thread. I felt like you wanted to prove something by throwing your power around. If I crate a thread that has a lot of people post on it, means something to me. Why else would I take the time to crate one.

if i see we don't need another one, i mean it in the sense that the last time a similar thread was made, it degenerated into a spam fest, and i had no doubt that it would end up the same way...

i don't 'throw my power around', i try to do the best job i can, am i infallible? of course not, but i'd like to think i do the job with at least some level of competence...

and i can't do that if i let a thread i know is going to go bad continue without me taking action...

just an fyi, on kmc people don't tend to care whether you made the thread or not, its the quality of the debating that takes place in the thread that is noticed...

Not so true, You could have banned the people who cause the problem. And I do agree that it's the people that really make the thread good or bad. But they are inspired by the ideas of the one who started it. If people don't think that the ideas of the thread are interesting, they won't wast their time posting in the first place. And the thread was never the problem. It's the people on it. You didn't give it a chance.

Edit: Duplicate threads are enough reason to merge or close. I don't want to see any more accusations against mods.

* there's an argument that Bats can throw grenades/smoke bombs while dodging/not looking at Cyke and his optic blasts... well...

* in New X-Men #137: During the 'Riot at Xavier's' storyline, he is one of the X-Men who faces off against Quentin Quire's Omega Gang. When Redneck challenges him, he fires one blast accurate enough to break Redneck's nose without causing any other damage. During the ensuing fight, he fires (while doing a cartwheel) a second blast that breaks Radian's leg... 'nuff said... 🙂

If the fight starts with good distance between them, Cyclops wins.
If it starts up close, Batman wins.

50-50, distance being the deciding factor.

* i doubt... because if there is enough distance, Cyke takes it 10/10... if it's close, hand-to-hand combat, Bats would be a bigger target even if Bats is uber-genius in all martial arts, all Cyke gotta do is face Bats, look and blast... for example, Bats has Cyke in a sleeper hold, Cyke who is an expert in aikido & judo knows the basic counter of that hold, with little effort just to rotate his neck/head to face Bats, Cyke can easily blow Bats away... anyways, if Bats somehow makes it up close, he has to make one strike that can confuse or KO Cyke for a win... if it's melee, Cyke still takes it 7-8/10, 🙂

Batman is fast. Before Cyclops presses on the button on the side of his glasses/takes them off (depending on what kind of glasses he is wearing), Batman would knock his jaw off.

Except that Cyke's visor is now, and has been for quite some time, psionically-controlled. Meaning: He thinks, it opens = blast. His visor opens at the speed of thought. His optic blast travel at the speed of light.

Somehow I don't see Batman being able to do much about that.
