How powerful is DC Thor?

The image one is the most powerful standard Thor he hung with Supreme who is the real deal in Pre Crisis clones 🙂

Hey Whirly, you have any scans of it? I didnt even knew about that part.

Whew... Supreme... !!!!
Then that Thor must be very STRONG !!!

No all comics from that era are in my parents loft sadly. Supreme beat him and stole his hammer. However in the first bout I think it was supreme issue 3 Thor beat him if I remember right. Supreme used his Hammer when he later had his powers stolen. Thor eventually fought a repowered Supreme and got his Hammer back.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supreme_(comics) pretty good synopsis and supports my opinion I have stated many times on Supreme also.

Thats impressive. If you ever manage to get some pics, please post. Thats one figth id like to see.

Image Thor and Red Norvell get to be my favourites now 😎

Because neither of them invented Norse Mythology.
Is it really that hard to figure out?

Nooo...it's not. I just wonder about all the legal terminology about 'intellectual property'. I mean, isn't Hercules in DC's Wonder Woman called Herkales or something? And what's stopped DC from bringing on Thor to fight Superman decades ago? It's because of legalities that Captain Marvel had to cease being published against Superman in the 1940's - that wouldn't happen today - and is forced to title his mags SHAZAM, being beaten to the copyright punch by Marvel's CM. (Unfair!)
Just as the book The Once And Future King is responsible for giving us everthing we commonly know about the life of King Arthur, Marvel is responsible for the modern interpretation of Thor and Asgardian myths. Something must have happened, a tradeoff between companies, that brought a version of Shazam to Marvel as Genis Vell.
Marvel and DC did this in the late 70's and 80's. Gladiator and the Imperial Guard were created as a thinly disguised version of DC's Legion of Super Heroes. DC was to return the favour, but don't think they did.
Anyway, there are limitations on copyright in the public domain, whether they are popular myths or history. Look how many writers come out the woodwork to claim some historical film derives from their work - Kingdom of Heaven is the latest.
And if Thor makes it to the big screen in a couple of years, it will be under the Marvel banner. So, I'm still curious as to why now.
DC Thor looks alright; Image Thor is blah. Thanks for the pictures. 📖

"I mean, isn't Hercules in DC's Wonder Woman called Herkales or something?

Yes. And at marvel too. They are the same character used in different stories and ways. Herakles and Hercules and every name related to the myths are public domain. Same happens to the Norse myths, and egyptian. Tecnically is the same guy with writers using the names they like or see to fit best theyr stories.

"And what's stopped DC from bringing on Thor to fight Superman decades ago? Its not the same thing. Cm is an invented character especifically for the comics audience and domains. Its not myth. Merely based on it.

Marvel having a CM as well was a rip off that tecnically was legal, because the original captain Marvel wasent being published at all, at the time.

Interestingly the Image Thor in your pic is not the same Image Thor in Supreme as far as costume is concerned 🙂 weird huh 🙂

Yo Dudes. I have pics of Supreme fighting Glads, but could someone elaborate on who he is? What universe is he from? Who else is in that universe. What is Supreme's origin and History? What are his powers? Where does he get his hair done, the usual? 🙂
