Whirly, bringing up Skyfather level magical beings that can't defeat Superman only further expounds on DC's inconsistencies. Thats all it does. Superman is supposed to have no defense against magic, like he does against physical attacks. Just his own bodies density and musculature, correct? Supermans main durability comes from the TK field that covers his body, inside and out. That takes the main brunt of attacks against his person. If magic nullifies that tk field, i don't see how he should be able to defeat a Skyfather level magical foe without speedblitz or hv. And both of those should prove relatively futile against such a level of power. Thats glaringly inconsistent.

JLA Avengers is Cannon for both companies 🙂
Other "canon" moments from the crossover include:
-Classic She-Hulk beating up Aquaman (even though he's much faster, skilled, and probably stronger)
-Hawkeye beating Captain Atom (using a weakness I'm pretty sure CA never had before)
-Wonderman breaking Kyle's constructs (can't a GL's constructs withstand supernovas?)
-Photon absorbing Kyle's power (doesn't he have unlimited energy and couldn't he just absorb it all back?)

😆 relax it's canon 🙂
Thor is more durable than Superman, Thor has survivie a plantery explosion while he was on the planet, went into the heart of the sun to awaken his brother Atum the god-eater/demogorge during the Atlantis Attack crossover.
Thor got back handed by a Celestail and still got up, and he battles his brother Atum in his regular form and was holding his own. Thor not holding back is stronger than superman, more durable, better reflexes, and superman speed will not come into play at all, if Thor can see hermes running at light speed, and gladiator also flying at high speeds and reacts to them very well superman speed will not be an issue at all.
No jobber, cis, pis or polictics Thor would win more of the majority than superman, base on fighting ability, experience and he has more raw power than superman in the long run.
Thor wins 7/10

There you go have fun🙂 Thor is an idiote in the comics............does SM beat him probably but its not lack of ability that does him in it is lack of IQ....................Thor with his hammer is leagues above SM from an ability standpoint but he never uses it.

Overall, this is a fight I think could go either way. Both are very powerful, especially if they are written to their full potential.

Eh, I'm not getting into getting work up over the whole thing. I just felt like pointing out a few things. Just because something is canon doesn't mean it should necessarily have happened (for example, Flash having trouble with a guy who throws boomerangs or Spider-man beating a herald of Galactus; both of these are canon).Overall, this is a fight I think could go either way. Both are very powerful, especially if they are written to their full potential.
written to full potential Thor kick superman ass, Thor over all to powerful. Can't wait for him to make a apperance in the Civil War story arc.
Thor beats Superman.
First of all, Superman wears tights.
Second, no matter what changes they made, back in the Superfriends cartoon, Superman was on the surface of the Sun. He had to get away because he said that he couldn't take the heat, and if he didn't leave soon, he would break down into Hydrogen. Everybody forgets that.
Thor had no such problem.
Is there any statement about the speed of Thor? Because, I am thinking his speed may be near Supe's, due to Thor's Godly musculature.
Has he fought a speedster?
Thor also has waaaaay more experience, has battled way more foes, with way more types of powers.
Thor also has more tools at his disposal than just his own abilities.
If he survived the first attempts from Supes, whether they were speed, heat vision or strength, he would find a permanent way to negate them.
Just my opinions.
