One problem, nimrod. You forgot to factor in something. Oh, what's it called? Oh yeah!P.I.S.!
Do some research on that fight. Thor had every advantage that he needed to defeat Superman, yet Superman wins? Thor would slaughter him! Lest we forget that he has MAGIC on his side, meaning Superman is laying dead on the floor.

no one 'slaughters' anyone in this fight. has anyone who is a proponent of supes being 'very weak' against magic shown yet an instant where supes was put down easily by magic? supes' supporters have shown through many scans that supes IS capable of handling AND defeating magical opponents. rather than say:
thor wins nimrod, he has MAGIC!
how about you or other thor supporter SHOW supes is weak to it! bios mean little in the face of on-panel and in book feats. some evidence backing up your (and a number of other peoples'😉 claims would be nice . . .
and i think this fight is pretty much dead even with only the tiniest edge to supes imo.
Supes has beaten Blaze who is a magical being and has directly used magic against him. He resisted magical transmutation. Dominus powers are also based in magic, and Supes has beaten him. A drop of blood from Supermans face cracked Wonder womans magical dagger. He's taken magical lighting blasts from Shazam and kept going (at least his body did.)
He's already been shown to catch Thor's hammer once aware and knocked Thor out.
Supes has no special protection against magic SAVE HIS WILLPOWER. It's not automatic like his other defenses against most things.
Well written, it would be a good battle. Thor also has no answer for Torquasm Vo and I doubt any magic he has is stronger than what Dominus, Kismet, Darkseid, or Blaze had.

The whole previous Thor fight is still debated as if it's PIS or not. However, Thor is more than on par with Superman's abilites, and is one of those opponents that fights people on Superman level and defeats them. I still think that the magic thing would come into effect.

I think people were more annoyed by how the fight was portrayed than by the actual result. Neither character was portrayed well. I've collected both characters and enjoy both and yet was dissapointed with the battle myself.

it was a disappointing fight. for this debate though, people continue to live a little in the past, continuing to believe what had ONCE been very true -- namely that supes has a debillitating weakness to magic. even in the face of direct evidence to the contrary, people STILL refuse to believe that supes can stand up to magic.
would it make a difference in this fight? of course -- thor wields VERY powerful magic. but supes has faced similar in the past.
my point is just because he has magic doesn't mean he automatically wins, which is what many here seem to think.
