Well x23 has sliced 100's of bullets coming at her out of the air, i guess she can beat thor. Wolverine has knocked bullets out of the air easily so he can beat thor also. What about spiderman, he has grabbed and knocked bullets out of the air he can also beat thor. Rogue had a guy with a machine gun shooting at her and she was knocking bullets out of the air easily while smiling.
Mimic has super human speed, with optic blast, i guess he can beat thor to.
Thor has been trained to fight speedsters. Deal with it. Superman has no kind of fighting skills, just look at the recent book where a depowered superman and lex fought and lex was beating the hell out of superman. Superman speed means jack in this fight and Im still saying that he dont know how to use his speed in combat because he dont, just like surfer, captain marvel, black adam, general zod, wonderwoman, etc..... They have flight speed but thats about it.

When superman fights kalibak in comics and kalibak swings and superman sees it coming and STILL gets hit.

superman catches bullets meant for civilians... i'm not talking about one or two bullets, im talking about dozens... think data in star trek, his hands moving faster than the eye can track...

When rogue caught bullets, her hands was moving at super speed. When everyone that i named did that there hands was moving at great speed and it wasnt just one or two bullets, it was numerous of bullets.
Mimic has super speed and he can catch bullets out of the air if he tried but he still aint coming close to beating no thor.

but superman can stop machine gun fire, from hitting civilians... i'm not saying others can't, just that he can do it alot faster... ever see in up, up and away where he moved fast enough to catch the bullet headed for jimmy after it had been fired? superman has also been shown to build machines at superspeed...
superman is not on diana's level, nobody is claiming he is, but he is nowhere near as far behind as you put it imo... same goes for thor imo...

Supermans not close to diana or thor in combat experience. He is very far behind.

I don't feel like going through all the posts to see opinions, I'm just going to give mine. I say that in the first match, Superman wins hands down. Even if Thor is wearing his belt which doubles his strength. It's no contest. The reason for this is that Thor is a prideful hero and will go hand-for-hand against an opponent before resorting to the hammer. Superman will knock him silly before he realizes Superman's weakness to magic. However, in the second battle and every other battle after that, Thor would correct his mistake and use magic to defeat the Man of Steel. Whether or not Superman will find a way to counter in third and subsequent matches is debatable.
It could very well be a back and forth thing where one guy wins one match and the other guy prepares figures out how to beat the other guy the other match.

an eclipso possessed superman was able to take several blasts of marvel's lightning and keep fighting, and there was nothing to suggest that eclipso enhanced superman in any way... i think saying that one hit will do it is a bit optimistic...
Just took Mindship's response and altered it to fit my opinion.
3 Scenarios:
#1. Thor w/o Hammer = Superman wins.
#2. Thor w/ Hammer as club = Superman wins.
#3. Thor w/ Hammer at full potential = Thor can win, but speed kills and Superman has faced plenty of powerful magic opponents. Dominus, and Disciple are 2 who are easily more powerful than anything Thor could come up with.

I guess you havent seen the two times that captain marvel has knocked superman out with just one punch. So we can just skip that subject because the 2 times im talking about eclipso had nothing to do with that.
