Nah as dc would never let Superman lose to a marvel hero.

Ignoring the fact that it was a crossover, why would a single fight be enough for anything, especially since the character that won admitted that he was only barely able to do so.

They even had Superman mention barely winning(for the second time) in a later issue, I believe it was the same issue where Thor stated that he now had Superman's measure, Marvel and DC went out of their way to drive home the fact that future fights could end differently.

Honestly, I think that Thor could beat Superman a few times, but not a majority of times. When Superman flexes he is very difficult to move or hurt. He isn't Juggernaut tough when he flexes but he's up there.
Here's a couple of examples of his invulnerabilty.

1. It seems like Superman taps into a well of invulnerability when he flexes, because Doomsday Rex stopped his heart the first time he hit him in in the chest.

2. Doomsday Rex broke his knuckles on Superman's chest when he flexed for the second fight they had.

.............................................OR.....................................................

Thor is really no match at all for Superman, and Doomsday would maul him. Superman has some pretty big shoes to fill even for Thor.

The fact of the matter is that Superman rivals Darkseid in power, so no one can really deny his power (It's on panel PIS or no PIS).

The Question here is could Thor ever hope to defeat Darkseid in pitched battle? If not I would say that he has no chance of beating Superman even once.

Current thor would win even a bigger majority.

Thor could indeed defeat Darkseid in battle. His hammer could deflect the oe and we have seen Batman recently do damage to Darkseid nowadays. Hell, Raker kinda whipped his ass.

If DC treats him with the same level of respect they did in his fights with Superman, yea...Thor would win.

I stopped reading at issue 4 of Thor. Has he done something impressive?

He suppose to have the odin force now right?
If its still unknown the fact still remains, Thor isn't ****ing around anymore though.

Yeah I do think he is more of a threat now than he used to be. But until I see something I still give the nod barely to Superman. It could change in the future though.

The same level of respect? lets get one thing straight Doomsday killed Superman and beat the hell out of Darkseid... and with ease.

Superman on the other hand stopped Doomsday, and has shown to have all of the tools to beat Darkseid, and beat him convincingly. Could he win all of the time? I don't think so but if he cuts lose and stops holding back, I see him killing Darkseid.

Superman can and has fought at near light speed. Thor would have to try very hard just to stay even with Kal-El.

Unless Thor can beat Darkseid with the ease that Doomsday did (which I somehow doubt) he's going to be eating dirt more times than not.

Doomsday was a lot weaker than when he returned in hunter and prey. Supes was getting his ass kicked in that story with an amp from a motherbox. Darkseid would have fared better against the Doomsday Superman first ran into.

This conflict is debatable however speed doesn't play as an important part in this fight as people think.

Well it sort of does, because speed makes this a give, give, give type of fight, and not a give and take. Superman could fight cheap and just feed Thor punch after bloody punch, until he turns him into Meatwad.

But Thor has shown to keep up with that type of speed before with Gladiator has he not?

Would that fight count?

Obviously the speed will matter but not as much as people are making out I think.

superman would still win

i mean, he's superman! the most cheezy superhero of all!

dont forget, dc revolves around superman. i read somewheres that without superman the dc universe would crumble....no idea if its true though...

so, superman wins all the time...he beat ds whose suppose to be at odin level or something. odin would what the crap pimp slap thor.

but superman, he's deffeted ds on numerous occasions...(pis or no pis)

Bad logic and it doesn't work like that.

yup, bad logic and yes it should work like that...

but it does...superman's got some cheezy feats under his belt...and it seams to me that dc always turns to superman.

so, yeah, superman wins all day all the time.

Nope because Thor has impressive feats as well.

That doesn't work and you should try debating properly.

Once again, if DC treats him with the same level of respect that they did during the Superman vs Darkseid fights(Such as AN), Thor would win.
