That was the whole article about how Old-Wizard justified ranking Thor as more powerful than Supes.. Im just gna copy the "speed factor" portion below. It gives references to comics, but no scans im afraid. Although I do have the comic where he whirls his hammer twice the speed of light, but its black and white so doesnt scan well:

Thats actually not a bad argument. I've been thinking especially about that incident with Hermes does anybody know how many other heroes didn't see Hermes?

People throw the magic argument around way to often with Superman. Generally when someones powers come from magic there is no difference than if those abilities were generated by natural means. For example a lightning bolt from Thor would have the same effect as a bolt from a normal thunderstorm. (Of course Thor can generate far more powerful bolts) Where his weakness truly lies is more on the avenue of sorcery (for example if a cast a spell to put Superman to sleep he will has no special resistance) There are things that fall somewhere in between depending how the magic works (like Captain Marvels lighting bolt) But most of Thor's powers are generated by magic but no different than any another character whose powers were generated by physics when fighting Superman. However if Thor still has the Odinforce Thor can increase his abilities far beyond what Supes faced in JLA/Avengers plus it can be used as true magic. (Though why Thor can still be on the Avengers if he is a Skyfather bothers me) Anyways as long as current Thor still has the Odinforce I have to give it to him. Without it I like Superman better so he wins =0

Thor wins with or without Odin Force as long as he goes all out. Magical attacks do hurt Supes more than non-magical based attacks, but would be especially dangerous when he's already fighting someone in his league.

And as Iv said countless times the God Blast would kill Supes. Thor never used it against Supes in JLA/Avengers because he wasn't going for the kill. Thor also didn't absorb and deflect back Supes heat vision for some strange reason.. AHEM-- PIS!!!

Superman win, if he stops holding back from the start Thors going to be in dreamland early.

Thor. As of now, it definitely seems that Thor is far more willing and likely to crank things up before Kal will. He'll probably call Kal a bastard too.

Sounds like this Thor run is a good candidate for being Hamas'd (Or whatever that Batman run was, that was so far out of character some comic book boards outright banned using his entire run in a debate..)
