Thor vs Superman

and thank you..Both of them have been hit by slow poke enemies...but if we are using characters at their best. Supes is much faster than Thor and has just as many ways to beat thor as Thor has to beat supes.

But let's look at what Thor has done, and compare to supes

Let's see Thor's hammer can hurt the Hulk , Thanos , Galactus , Gladiator ( who is basilly a pre crisis supes rip off) etc.

Remember thor has done damage even without using his especially attacks.

Now let's see Superman is weak against magic, he might have defeat magical beings , but doesn't change the fact that magic hurt supes more than normal attacks.
CM , in recent comic a girl took him down with one Magical attack etc , Shazam was nearly killing him with lighting ( Shazam was holding back sence he was trying to help supes)

Now if Thor can hurt people like Hulk, Thanos , Gladiator ---- Why would that do double , triple damage to someone like Superman who is weak against magic ?

Is supes is fast enough to knock his hammer then I don’t see why sups couldn’t win, but thor isn’t a slow poke, but it could happened.

If someone can prove Thor can fight near mach etc that would be nice

I'm not denying the fact that magic attacks do hurt supes, just the fact that the hammer does not equal automatic victory.

I picture this as a great swimmer/diver with a harpoon vs a powerful shark. The harpoon will hurt/kill the shark but the shark is faster, more maneureable, and stronger. Difference here is that the Shark can also use the harpoon if he gets his "fins" on it.

Pretty hard to use a jet pack underwater isnt it?
It still doesnt give the maneuverability of the shark.

But I believe the diver will get the shark more often than not (get eaten)

Because that diver already has many sharks in his defeated list

I say the Shark eats well most of the time, but that the divers skills give him victory once every few battles.

Getting beat down by Nefaria isn't remarkable. It's expected. Nefaria himself could probably take on most of the JLA INCLUDING SUPERMAN. Nefaria's fast, and powerful when fully charged. He took on the Thunderbolts and Avengers and whooped them both.

I wouldn't say stronger, but more powerful.

i believe supes strength is about the same level as thor. if he is stronger its not by much.

speedwise, yes supes is faster, but not too fast that thor wouldn't be able to hit him.

but you all forgot one basic fact of physical advantage: thor is a helluva lot better fighter than supes.

the asgardian warrior who has had centuries of training will definitely be more battle hardened and experienced than the alien who spent about half of his life doing daily chores in a farm.

strength and speed don't mean that much if the difference isn't too great. but fighting prowess and experience will lay a heavy factor to determining a winner. Just look at the fight between wonderwoman and supes. supes maybe stronger and faster, but the amazon gave him a run for his money alright.

So, coupling the fighting prowess and mjolnir and the MAGIC (thor has magic of his own) , thor should win this battle after a pretty tough fight.

Sure thor would be able to hit superman the way Mongul is doing in the pic provided by Avalonofthewind ON PAGE 44. But when superman starts moving at light speed...it is more than likely going to be the end. Supes speed is that much greater...and it could be the deciding factor.

Apparently you haven’t been reading current superman comics.

He really goes beyond mach 1, and he was screaming like a ***** once he hit mach 50.

Tho supes will have the advantage in the speed department, not in power, Thor hammer is greater than supes punches.

Mach speed won’t be winning this battle for Supes , few magical hammer hit , and supes is down.
