Not being silly at all. It takes Thor time to spin the hammer and set up for teleportation. On earth, at Supes current speed, he can actually get the phantom zone generator.

Why is speed such a deciding Factor?
I might be talking shit here but do characters such as Mongul, Cyborg Supes, Solomon Grundy and Depsero have any form of Super Speed?

All of these characters when written well are well capable of giving supes a hard time

Mongul was owned earlier in this forum...take a look for the scans.

Cyborg is faster than light due to his tech half.

Not sure about the other two.

I know the Hulk and spiderman dont have anywhere near super speed though.

he doesn't attack at anywhere near light speed, if that's what you mean. nor can he move as fast as supes, even in battle.

From what i can remember he was trying to prevent Steel from Shutting down the War World Engine thingy and he was in a rush to do so.

Why waste so much time playing Hide and seek with all that metal transformation thing he can do if he could have got the job done at speeds approaching F.T.L

I agree that in combat speed Supes is better. I was reffering to flight speed of Thor wich is ftl. Proof of this is how he can cross galaxies. ( well not now since he has no comic for the moment ).

Thor does have enchanted reflexes when figthing. Supes just has better. Will he win just by speedblitzing Thor? The big guy has taken worse than that included by the Asgardian Destroyer and Celestials and still kept on going.

But it is a good call on supes side 😉

The worst problem with Thor is that he gets ***** slapped on issue, returns three issues down the line and makes a far greater effort (useually winning) and the only reason we get is that he was holding back the first time????????????

He has taken consitently alot of damage and still kept on going. Its part of his famous rep. The guy who refuses to go down either figthing Hulk or a cosmic level being. This is the guy after all who made a hungry galactus run away from a godblast...

My point is he never backed down no matter the beatings he has take and from these kind of enemies. Like Surtur and like Ymir. Or classic Mangog. Im well aware every hero has low showings otherwise i wouldnt count Supes that much since he has showed having trouble with handling planes or the daily planets big globe on the top of the building.

And just heat vison wont do. It was already covered in this thread amigo. Superman used close ranged heat vison on Thor in Jla/Avengers issue 2 and Thor still kept on going. Just like captain Marvel has.

Nahh i wasn't considering Heat vision as part of the Quation i just seen the post of Supes Stopping the Omega Affect With it.
